3 weeks into new fill in 600 gal spa
been lowering ph every couple days to maintain approx 7.5
TA was 80, then 50, 40, 30, now it's only 20
ph is currently 7.3
is this bad?
I know you guys have established good practices. I've run my tub for 1.5 seasons now, and have just started to get serious with doing it right (just got in my Taylor K-2006).
Todays #s:
TA 40
PH 7.4
FC 2.4
CC .2
SA .43
no CYA
guess it's time to get some...
I see. So SWG is irrelevant here? (Don't currently have one).
But I'm currently running an ozonator.
Does it alter the oxidation factor? (Maybe less CYA required).
Also, what is effect of oxidizing the cover? Does the bottom vinyl go bad before the top?
Am thinking about auto-chlorinate system to lessen daily FC checks.
Is SWC currently the favorite for use with spas?
I have a 650 gal system with ozonator.
It gets maybe 4 person/hours usage per week (in winter), 1/2 that or less in summer.
Has anyone heard just how long these technichlors last? It seems they don't have replaceable plates, so operating costs will be higher than similar units (with replaceable plates), right?
