    Pentair Minimax NT gives E02

Thanks. I did start to hear some rattling, and was already thinking about the flow valve anyway. icking myself for not having ordered it from Amazon last week for $88... now they're out of stock and the best deal I could find was $110! I'll wait until it gets here to look at the old one in...

    Pentair Minimax NT gives E02

Both thermostats show continuity, so I'm kind of back to Step One!

    Pentair Minimax NT gives E02

Well, the new thermistor didn't fix it. Maybe the 115° thermostat will...

    Pentair Minimax NT gives E02

FWIW, a few posts on the Internet suggested cleaning the filter, and it was time to do that anyway, so I did. I am still getting the E02, but the heater is restarting itself very quickly now. I'll install my new thermistor and see how that develops...

    Pentair Minimax NT gives E02

This heater is pretty old, possible 15 years. The igniter was replaced a few months ago. We used it for the spa a couple of nights ago and it worked fine. Yesterday, I used it to heat the pool. After running for maybe an hour, it stopped showing E02. I turned the heater off and on again...

    Pump not priming

Just to close the loop on this for anyone who finds this thread... it wasn't a leak after all. Or, maybe there wasa bad O-ring that I replaced, but when the problem re-appeared, it was the manual valve on the suction stack. It goes between the vacuum and skimmer. When it's all the way to the...

    Pump not priming

Well, I'm back to square one. Pool isn't priming again. I was sure I had this fixed... the pump primed very quickly yesterday, and the bubbles stopped coming out of the jets. Oh well, I've got someone coming in a week. It's really tough to find decent pool people around here, so I'm kinda...

    Pump not priming

FWIW, this turned out to be the Jandy valve after the pump. A couple of folks had zeroed in on the one before the pump, and replacing it's O-rings didn't fix. Replaced the rings in the second valve, and I'm in business. Moral of the story... O-rings are cheap and pretty easy to replace. I bet...

Thanks. I had finally found this video which helped immensely!

How to replace O-rings in Pentair Jandy valve

I have a 263045 Pentair valve that I suspect may be the source of a leak. I cannot find any manual or instructions or video on how to get into it. I took off four top screws, but that shows the electronics. There are six sxrews holding the body to the pipe below, but two of those are blocked...

    Pump not priming

Happening again. Last time, switching to spa mode and then back to pool mode seems to have resolved it. Today, no dice. I did re-lube my O-ring, and when I drop the lid on to the pump, it quickly stops the water from draining out, and takes effort to life back up. Could it be a seal in a valve?

    Pump not priming

Everything was working OK. I opened it to clean out the strainer basket, put it back together, and started it in cleaner mode the way I always do. Usually, it primes within 15 seconds or so, I can bleed air out of the filter, and be ready to go. Today, the pump just roars away, pouring water...

    CH in fill water high

My pool is showing 425ppm for CH. My fil water is 250ppm. PoolMath says to replace 89% of my water. Considering I just filled the pool six months ago, I'm not sure how useful that would be. What can I do?

Pentair IC40 installed in SE Phoenix?

I am neither a plumber nor an electrician, and am certainly not a pool expert. The idea that anyone can just do anything and "save money" is a myth. I firmly believe in paying experts for their time to do something right... that's how you save money.
