    Intex Sf70110 sand filter help

Hi everyone, our sand filter got left out during a couple hard freezes last year and the 6 way valve has a crack in it which leaks. The valve is part #11496 and it's currently unavailable from Intex. Any ideas?? The crack is on the side plastic between the too and the sand canister.

Repair torn seam in Ultra Frame pool

So I was in the process of taking our intex ultra frame down for the winter. I drained the water and washed down the inside, just needed to pump or scoop out the remaining water and take down the frame and liner. But alas, I was out of time and had to work today. Well, we just had a pretty...

Need a little help with getting the chemistry right

Oh ya, forgot to update my sig. Just got the pool setup this past sunday so haven't really done much yet (plus it's been cool and rainy till today). I'm running the pump that came with the pool, planning to upgrade next year maybe even add an SWG. I believe it's an 1800gph pump I have now.

Need a little help with getting the chemistry right

Thanks, I'll see if I can get it right in the return stream. Will I need to run my filter 24/7 all week long? I've only been running it about 6 hours a day right now. Also, I'm using the 6-way HTH test kit (I know this isn't ideal) A Taylor kit is in the future but will have to wait a few...

Need a little help with getting the chemistry right

Hey everyone! So my AGP has been up for about 4 days now, and we've had rain for the past two. I want to get the levels maintainable but I'm already chasing the PH around. Here's what my levels right after I set the pool up. PH - 6.8 Hardness - 10ppm Alkalinity - 10ppm I added 60oz of...

hard plumb intex: Please post pics of electrical conduit

I just did this and let me say it worked pretty good but don't get antsy. let the pvc cement harden at least 1 hour before putting any water through (better if it's 2 hours).

    New AGP just setup today!

Really? I didn't see it there, just some $20 cyanuric acid, believe it was a liquid. I'll take another look maybe tomorrow.

    New AGP just setup today!

Hey everyone! So we had a small easy set pool last year (10' I think) so this year we decided to upgrade. We got the 18' X 48" Intex Ultra Frame. Leveled the ground, setup the pool, hard plumbed everything with a spot to attach a solar heater in the future (although I have a leak at the pump)...

18' Intex Ultra Frame Hard Plumb Thread

Happy Sunday Morning everyone! So my pool is filling up as we speak, about 1/3 full right now so I'm going to go plumb it before the water gets too high. I have a thought and wondered if there's any reason to not do this. Because getting the pool temp up in this part of the country can be...

Attaching 1 1/2" PVC to the plunger valves (Hard Plumb)

Hey everyone! So my 18' Intex is filling as we speak. Planning to work on the hard plumbing later this evening if the rain holds out or in the morning if not. Anyway, I decided to take a look at things and the 1 1/2" cantex box adapter I got seems to fit rather loosely onto the bottom of the...

First time setting up an above ground pool -- Intex 16'x48"

Re: First time setting up an above ground pool -- Intex 16'x The reason you don't see the pink stuff at Lowe's is because they don't sell Owen's Corning (pink). They sell Johns Manville. Same stuff, just a different company.

Preparing for an 18' X 48" Intex Ultra Frame

No sweat Nate. I don't have all the answers as this year is the first year that I'm doing this the RIGHT way so I'm still researching some of this myself. Here's my plan. I'm pulling up all the sod and leveling as much as I can possibly stand to. Do not use Sand - it will settle and you will...

Preparing for an 18' X 48" Intex Ultra Frame

nate - it's foam board you can get it at Lowe's in various thicknesses in the insulation aisle. I was going to use the 1/4" stuff that you put behind vinyl siding but I priced it today and I'm looking at $90 as it would take two bundles for me. I might skip it this year and just use a ground...

My 2 years 2 pools build project in pics

I'm just starting the leveling process, in fact I haven't started...I'm still digging up the sod! Good news is the ground is pretty close already, within a few inches so I hope it's not too bad.
