Need a new filter and swg

Awesome, would the sand filter provide any benefits of the cartridge filter I have now?

Need a new filter and swg

Luckily I still had my logs from last summer, CYA was 70. I haven't set it up this year so no readings yet.

Need a new filter and swg

Just looked back at the manual, it says maximum is 5.5gr/hour and 17hrs is an estimated run time for my pool. Stabilizer was always tested and in range using the Leslie's pool test kit and pool math if anything was added. Heres a link to the unit I have. Also, this unit only has a timer and a...

Need a new filter and swg

I'm getting ready to set up out summer waves pool for the summer. I want to first upgrade to a sand filter and a new swg, last summer I ran an intex 2500gph cartridge filter and the summer waves swg. It worked, but I want to try to cut down on run time since I think running these all night...

Can I use intex sand filter with summer waves in wall filter?

It can be cheaper if the hoses that come with the Intex filter are the same diameter as the fitting on the skimmer and pool outlet. I didn't think about this and now I have an extra set of hoses. I've also seen someone remove the pump and block the hole with the black stopper that comes with the...

Can I use intex sand filter with summer waves in wall filter?

You would need something like the link below. You'll unscew the bottom of the skimmer and remove the pump. Replace the bottom with the supplied parts and install the new in and out hoses. Then attach your sand filter to the port where the stock hose was. I just did this to add a larger Intex...

Summer waves doesn't come with vacuum option

Yes, it the summer waves with an Intex 2500 or 2800 pump and swg. I picked up a cheap vac that attaches to a water hose, for $9 I'm surprised it works as good as it does. I also ordered the summer waves skimmer lid that hooks up the vacuum hose. I ordered that and some other stuff to attach the...

    My results. Where to start.

Depending on where I was reading, some places said start with chlorine, then add the salt other places said just go straight to so, which I did. I should have got going with bleach, then let the salt take over. To late to swim tonight, but he should be able to get in tomorrow. I let him in...

I'm probably over reacting, I did the same when I first started aquarium keeping. Hang on specific water parameters, then panic if I don't end up with an exact pH or hardness or whatever parameter I'm looking at.

    My results. Where to start.

I'll run out and get some bleach. I would assume the chlorine levels are next to nothing considering i just turned the swg on or am I wrong? Ph is 7.0 and cya is 70. TA is 120. The test kit I have is the Leslie's Taylor copy in the pick below, I purchased a separate fas/dpd chlorine test from...

    My results. Where to start.

Just added salt and cya last night. Ran the filter 24 hours. Now I'm at 3800ppm salt, 7.0ph, and cya is 70. I just turned the salt pump on about an hour ago. Ph dropped over time, it's 7.5 out of the tap. All tests are with Taylor liquids. 16x48 summer waves elite, summer waves swg. Just filled...
