I live in Ohio...15th season with my IG pool. I have a new heater and SWG. Does anyone suggest covering these with some type of cover? I never had previously. FWIW....I don't cover my AC unit for the house either.

I know the CYA is low and just a guess. The lowering of pH doesn't concern me too much as I'm always fighting my pH as it is, and my fill water pH is greater than 8.2. Any advice for finding a leak?

Given a CYA of 60, your "shock" FC target is 20 ppm and your min/max FC are 5 and 10 ppm. You should dose your pool to maintain the FC at 20 ppm until your night FC and morning FC (overnight demand) are the same number. Remember, that FC is broken down by the sun. So, if we measure it...

Just to be clear...adjust your pH first...then hold your FC at "shock" levels for your CYA...

You may want to test...whenever you get a very abnormal result...suspect testing error...I think that most water has TA
