Thanks. Question for the group is when sand gets worn down does it get through the filters? The sand was changed 3 years ago so I guess there is a chance it needs to be changed?

Yeah it’s Sand. My pool cleaner picks it up.

The sand was replaced about 2 years ago so put the same sand back in filter after changing the laterals.

A few weeks ago I changed all laterals on my Triton II sand filter since I was getting sand in my pool and a few turned out to be broken. I’m still getting sand now. Any ideas what else it could be?

Did this test several times inside my house with a sample from the pool. Every time the black dot never disappeared. Does this mean that I have extremely low cyanuric acid?
