Pentair intelliflo won't hold RPM setting

I was only clicking it to see the results of the gpm when at a certain rpm. I wasn't making any adjustments. When I've done this in the past, it didn't reset any of my settings.

Pentair intelliflo won't hold RPM setting

Went out near the pump today (Pentair Intellifl03 VSF) and thought it sounded quiet. It was on and everything looked good, but noticed the pressure on the filter gauge was lower than usual. Checked the app and the pump RPM was set at 1,000 RPM. Previously I had it set to 2,000 RPMs. Same...

    Filter Housing Leak...or not?

It's on the main pump filter housing. The large housing with the four cartridges inside. The O-ring is only 5 months old, since install. I've opened up the housing twice since install to clean the cartridges, but have never lubed the ring.

    Filter Housing Leak...or not?

Went past the pool equipment shortly after the pump turned on in the morning and noticed that the filter housing was leaking around the middle where the metal band/clamp/seal is. Not a lot of water, but a steady few drops. I assumed that I needed to adjust the clamp/gasket. So I went back...

    Stand-alone Pool Chiller (Not Glacier)

Bumping back up the top. I seems like I may have to just get a standard heat pump unit and just only use it for cooling. Any recommendations or dos/don'ts? Thanks

    Stand-alone Pool Chiller (Not Glacier)

Hi all, I'm looking to see if anyone has a stand alone pool chiller (vs a heat pump heater/chiller combo). Or even if they make such a thing. I've done research on the Glacier evap cooler and I've heard too many mixed things (I'm in Houston). And while I appreciate the advice, I'm also not...

    Scaling (?) on Tile

No, I haven't tried anything yet. Figured I would ask before making any obvious mistakes.

    Scaling (?) on Tile

Hey all -- The pool is about 3 months old. Water has been carefully balanced the entire time. Starting to notice this white stuff on the tile in places. This pic attached is the biggest offender, but it is becoming more noticeable in other places. What is interesting though, is that my water...

Chemistry/Equipment Setting Questions re: Salt, CL, TA

Hi all, Three separate questions: 1. Salt Levels -- The SWG article says to keep it 2-400ppm above the manuf recommendations. My manuf suggests 3,600. However the pool school article seems to imply that 3,000 is the right level. This seems conflicting. I'm sitting at 3,000 now so need...

New Pool, Post 30 Days Out - Test Results

Per the Pool Math app, it would raise FC by 1.6ppm at 50% for 6 hours. So it sounds like it's pretty close. I can try and dial it in from there.

New Pool, Post 30 Days Out - Test Results

Hey guys, checking in with an update and a question or two. My current FC is now 10 (down from 16+ five days ago) so we're getting to the top of the target. My last CYA reading a week ago was 70. I will do a full suite of tests this weekend. If my CYA stays at that level then my FC target...

New Pool, Post 30 Days Out - Test Results

3 days later, the FC is down to 11.5 So that's a pretty fast drop off. I still have the SWG set to 0%. Once I get my level back in line, I may set the SWG to 40% and keep the pump running for the 7 hours.

Thanks Jim. I'll keep an eye on it this week and see how it moves.

New Pool, Post 30 Days Out - Test Results

I was running the pump for 7 hours at 2200 rpm. The SWG was set at 50%. I've since dialed it down to 0% and will test my FC and PH more regularly to see if that gets back in balance. Please let me know if that's the right approach. Thanks
