    Low Pressure

Noticed my waterfall from my spa in to the pool wasn't looking like it normally does. I check my filter housing and the pressure is reading about 5 psi, when 10-11 psi is normal. Pool level is normal. Skimmer baskets are empty and I checked under them to make sure there was no debris. Cleaned...

Need a pool company in San Antonio to re-plaster

Follow up: Called 5 companies in the San Antonio area. Three showed up and did measurements. Two no-showed. Out of the three who showed, only one sent an estimate over.

Anyone replaced their fiber optic tower with the SR Smith 6001/6002?

Going to do the entire thing. I know SR Smith makes a fiber optic tower replacement but not sure it makes sense for the money. Would rather just put in new lights (I have 4) and the new PT-6001.

Anyone replaced their fiber optic tower with the SR Smith 6001/6002?

I have NOT checked the size of my current lights but I know they are small. Hoping they are the standard 1.5". Debating pulling the trigger on the 6001. I've watched all the youtube videos and read the SR Smith manual online. Has anyone done this on their own? The manual says to drain the pool...

Need a pool company in San Antonio to re-plaster

We have put it off for 3 years but it's time to get the pool re-plastered and new waterline tile. I'm in San Antonio. I know about Zars, Cody, Blue Haven as the big 3 but didn't know if anyone had a recommendation for someone else. Thanks in advance.

CYA and CH are high, time to drain?

I don't generally shock at all. Try to keep my FC at 5-6. Based on how the water department charges down here, it's about $300 to fill up my pool.

CYA and CH are high, time to drain?

No idea. I ONLY use liquid chlorine from wally world. I've struggled with high cya ever since I moved in to this house.

CYA and CH are high, time to drain?

FC 3.5 PH 7.4 TA 100 CH 825 CYA 60. Been hoping my CH and CYA would come down miraculously but no dice. Think I'm just going to have to drain most of the pool and start fresh unless yall have any ideas. (and yes, by FC is low and liquid chlorine went in after testing).

    Low pressure in pump filter

That was it. Impeller had all kinds of junk in it. Thankfully my kids hand was small enough to get it out. Thanks again, TFP saves the day.

    Low pressure in pump filter

Removed all 4 cartridges - no change. Running on high speed at 5 psi and I can tell when I open the relief air valve on top of the filter housing that it's not blowing out water like it used to. Clogged return pipe(s) possibly? Any other things I should try? The last 3 weeks have been hel! down...

    Low pressure in pump filter

Hot tub is connected to the pool. Last few days, after using the hot tub, I noticed the waterfall from the hot tub to the pool that runs when pump is on high speed has looked weak. Cleaned baskets, cleaned filters, water level is good. Maybe a clog in a pipe from the skimmers to the pump? Also...

Freezing weather coming...and water feature pump is leaking

How did your system do? I ran the waterfall pump all night and the low speed on the main pump and so far everything looks fine.

Freezing weather coming...and water feature pump is leaking

Another trick I just learned - if you have old school christmas lights still out - run those around the pump/pipes and plug them in on a time. They won't get super hot but put out just enough heat to keep things from freezing.

Freezing weather coming...and water feature pump is leaking

Others smarter than me will chime in (hopefully). I'm in a similar situation this weekend (I'm in San Antonio). My waterfall pump is on it's own circuit and when freeze protection kicks on for the main pump, it does NOT kick on the waterfall pump. So my plan at this point is to just run it all...

    Hayward filter pressure high

Is the recommended soak still 1 cup TSP to 5 gal water?
