What did you do to your pool today?

Opened on Monday, brushed walls today and took readings.

Thanks for the suggestion. They had pallets of it. People were looking for tablets and walking right past it.

I haven't. I didn't even know that place existed. Thanks!

Coming chlorine shortage? - It is Here!

Is nobody else having trouble finding chlorine? I haven't seen much chatter on here about it, but I can't find liquid or tablets anywhere around me. Even the bleach at Walmart is out of stock. The Pool Essentials liquid chlorine I usually get is now $54 a gallon. Anybody know of any places that...

New fill - Can’t get FC up

So, I'm 24 hours in. The water has been crystal clear since this morning and it is still consuming a gallon+ an hour of FC. Is that typical?

New fill - Can’t get FC up

Yes, very confident in the 22K and the stabilizer was added on Sunday. The dot was slightly visible outdoors on a bright day.

New fill - Can’t get FC up

Definitely not testing 30 minutes after. I didn't think that was enough time for the chlorine to circulate. I added 6 lbs of dry stabilizer so far. My test tube only goes to 30, so it's below that. Maybe 20-30. I just ordered more CYA reagent since mine expired last fall. I'll retest when it...

New fill - Can’t get FC up

I just refilled the pool after coping and tile work and can’t seem to get the FC up. I’ve added 4 gallons of bleach over the past 24 hours and I’m still getting no reading. CYA is under 30. pH is 7.4, TA is 100. Water is starting to get cloudy so I’m trying to correct it ASAP. Thoughts?

Quick fix for loose coping and tiles

I have a loose stone on my coping and its being loose caused the tiles beneath it to fall off. I'm looking for a product or products to repair the damage. I'm having the coping and tile redone before next year's opening so I'm not looking for a permanent solution. Just something to hold...

    What bleach to get?

I just went to Wallyworld and saw Great Value Bleach and Great Value Cleaning Bleach. The Cleaning bleach was cheaper but I was concerned about additives. Regardless, they both said 6%.
