    Pool Maid SWG

I have been using an Intex SWG for a couple of years and it really hasn't done the job too well. My pool is just over 8000 gallons so it should chlorinate the heck out of it. I thought maybe I would get lucky and find some S. African ex-pat that may have used one. I was thinking that it would go...

    Pool Maid SWG

Wondering if anyone has heard of a SWG made by "Pool Maid" S14/120/18VTX self-cleaning 120V 21,000-26,000 gallons They are made and sold in South Africa and I found a website there that sells them for 5000 Rand (whatever the heck that is) Anyway I bought one (new) on Ebay for $41.00 and was...

Dane's "How To" for a quick & easy pool cooler

I can say that I have had great results here. The outdoor temp is high (right now: 113) and the humidity is relatively low. between 20 & 40%. One way that I can tell how well it is working is to feel the water temp just as it is coming out of the fountain, and then feel the temp as it hits the...

Dane's "How To" for a quick & easy pool cooler

OK, for anyone out there reading this who is still skeptical about whether or not these thing actually cool your pool off. Dane's "How To" for a quick & easy pool cooler

Dr Obbins, Awesome design. It was after I built mine that my wife said "why didn't you put it on the outside of the pool?" (I am supposed to be the one with the good ideas not her) Now I am thinking of doing something very similar to yours. looks like a little more length on one pipe to extend...

Dane's "How To" for a quick & easy pool cooler

I used all slip joints on mine except for the threaded connection to the return. I have all my joints glued except for the one connecting the lower Tee to the pipe from the return. It fits snug enough to stay in place while it is running, but with a little pull I can remove the whole thing if I...

Dane's "How To" for a quick & easy pool cooler

The best thing about the valve is when it is turned "on" the return water runs straight out the bottom so you can decide when you want the fountain to run. My pool is cooling off so quickly that I am not running it every night, and when I do I only run the fountain at half.

Dane's "How To" for a quick & easy pool cooler
