Need to replace both pool light and spa haven't pulled them out of the pool/spa yet. According to original pool build docs - pool light is LED Color and spa is 100w white. Is there a standard Jandy replacement for either or do i need to pull them out first? Thanks -

It sure seems that way and i think i've seen the flowchart. This forum has been invaluable as far as saving $$$ and keeping pool technicians honest. Without it you're pretty much at their mercy.

Another update - not ready to call a pool guy just yet. The Jandy Tech support indicated i needed to call a pool technician because it was probably something with the main circuit board that they needed to test. Got me thinking - right next to the connector for the sensor on the circuit board...

Update - put a call into Jandy Tech Support ..... they confirmed that you are suppose to see the actual production rate when in Auto mode .... as far as troubleshooting the issue - essentially said i needed to call a pool technician.

Ok - i think i get the calculator - enter the current reading and the desired reading and hit calculate. So obviously need to raise the FC but one of the reasons we went with a salt pool is my wife is allergic to chlorine (or probably more accurate the additives that are used with chlorine) so...

Have been adding acid - the ph is now at 7.8 and the TA is down to 130ppm. The gpl is still at 3.0. The FC is between 0.6 and 1.0. Looking at the pool calculator - still trying to figure out how to use it. The output of the chlorine generator is set to 40%.

Well ... just got the TF-100 Kit. The CYA is 40, Chlorine is 3ppm, ph is 8.2, TA is 150ppm. We had rain on Sunday and i did need to add water since the last water test. The TA is definitely lower than last week (190 ppm), the ph is still high.

Great information .... the feedback gives me confidence that maintaining the pool myself is the right decision. The water does not have a strong chlorine odor - nor do we have the burning of the eyes etc .... skin is really dry though. Still waiting on the new kit. Chem geek - excellent...
