Need new pump and SWG. Sizing question and CircuPool feedback ?

Confused. I didnt know check valve was to keep chlorine out. (Funny prior owner had tab feeder but no bypass/check valve.) I thouoght the check valve was to keep the water flow from going back into the heater out pipe when bypass is on. If no check valve like shown on this page, how does water...

Need new pump and SWG. Sizing question and CircuPool feedback ?

Thanks All, I went with the RJ45+ SWG. The Pump and SWG should be here this week. I've read quite a few threads on install. Seems i should put in a check valve and heater bypass as well. Anything wrong with installing it like this pic or tips on better ideas?

Did not empty my pool, but I do probably replace about an inch of water every week or two (pretty sure I have a...

    Help with pool equipment

Ah OK so one valve is the skimmer, one is for the vacuum, the 3rd which is closed is for the drain. I wasn't sure if that was purely a drain or if it's supposed to be used for circulation. Thanks

    Help with pool equipment

Hello. I'm still trying to get a handle on how my pool works. There is a skimmer, a vacuum port, 2 return jets, and some sort of inlet at the bottom. There are 3 valves which you can see in the attached pic. 2 have always been open and the middle one closed. The port/jets work very strong. I'm...
