Replaced the pump and took apart some of the components. I see that the Drive Unit Board is burnt at the glued in capacitor. That really sux. Everything is glued in so you cannot repair it. New drive board unit is $800. I got entire new pump for $999.

from all the parts list and video I see. There isnt a capacitor for these pump.

No unions at the inlet outlet. I guess my pool builder skimmed that part. I will get it with the new pump. BTW what is the different between the intelliflo VS against the Superflo VS. Price is big difference. some $1199 vs $699 for superflo VS. I will probably try to order the pump today.

sounds like a plan. just hate to have to cut my intake/ output pipes. Can you recommend said intelliflo without the SVRS? thanks

vs3050 is on the same circuit as the intellichlor. i tried disconnecting the wire for the intellichlor also and it did nothing to help the VS3050 to run. Everything else will work normally with the pump breaker off. It will run the water feature aux pump. once I turn on thevs3050 pump...

I also have a big drop in salt level. using the taylor test kit. It was about 3900ppm about a month ago. It is now at 3200ppm. I didnt really have to fill the pool more than the usual evaporation. Can my filter cause this? I didnt really clean it for the pool open this year yet.

Gotta thank you again. At 3800 seems like I can keep the chlorine level strong at a lower duty cycle. it is now at 60% I think I can go 50%. Also the if I forget to put in acid doesnt seem to foul the SWG cell as easy. So I have been relying on the Pentair cell to tell me proper salt...

Wow Thank you so much. I added one 40 lb bag of salt and the IC40 is behaving correctly.. Im at good solid green Cell light and water Chlorine level is up . I depended on the IC40 salt level reading at solid green led on salt level. So I wont do that now and test w taylor kit. good...
