Less we we forget that regular ole bleach was not the same as liquid chlorine😳😂. When I first started I think 10% bleach at the grocery store was 1.75 a gallon. 3.50 10 % Liquid Chlorine at pool store. My Walmart now has 10% 5.67. Pool store 12.5% almost 15.00

I was in that boat at one time. Spent way more than I had to at the pool store.

😂 me too! I think at the time I started using 20 Mule Borax I needed to raise ph and alkalinity some and got tunnel vision and forgot about using boric acid if just wanting to up borates .

Like I said not telling you what to do, only what I did. I shocked at a high level, more than slam level. That cleared up my algae. What you do with that information is up to you. If you think that is bad advise then I recommend you don’t do it. Anyway, I hope you get your pool cleared up...
