I ran out of R-0013 in my TF-100, I went and bought a little bottle of Taylor R-0013 from Leslie's. Are they the same, so that I can run my CYA test per the TF-100 instructions?

Pre-Harvey I remembered to buy bleach, but forgot acid and salt. Hope Homedepot opens soon. No pre-numbers, but post test numbers are: FC = .5 CC = 0 CH = 225 TA = 30 Salt = 1600 CYA =? ran out of test chemicals. :-( PH = seemed to be 8.2, but one drop of acid demand changed the color to 6.8...

Before they added salt to ours I used bleach from Target. PB also added pucks every week. I was worried about them adding to the CYA, but mine was low and they helped increase it. The TF-100 is great. Also get the speed stirrer. :)

Oops thank you. Corrected FC to 16 and added CH of 325. Yes, that does help. Thank you. I will see if I can figure out how to reduce SWG output and what I need to do to increase CYA. I still need to figure out a more accurate gallon estimate for our pool.

So I finally pulled the whole TF-100 test kit out and completed all the tests. My results are: FC = 16 CC = 0 TA = 60 CYA = 50 CH = 325 Ph = 7.8 Salt = 4600 (some solidification at bottom of test tube, is this normal?) Salt was added to our pool on Th. I wasn't there, so I am not sure how many...

Thanks guys I appreciate the replies. I did not want to go to Leslie's, but since the pool is still under PB's care and wanted the test results I did get the water tested there for them. I will try to do all the tests in the TF-100 in the next say or two. PB wants to do pool school soon and...

So pool is still under PB's care and they had me take the water to Leslie's for testing. CH tested 120, so they had me add 1/2 bucket of calcium hardness to the skimmer. After the 2nd test it was 140. I decided to test myself with the TF-100 and got 375. So why is Leslie's test so much lower...
