    Send help! Landscaping and flooding

Its been in almost a constant SLAM for 2 weeks now. This is more a filter problem than a SLAM issue. All that dirt... See my other post recently where I got 4 inches in a few hrs, filled it up, but didnt overflow it from outside like this. Its been raining almost every day for 2 weeks...

    Send help! Landscaping and flooding

Picts are NSFP, you have been warned... Weve gotten something like 10 inches of rain in the Raleigh NC area over the past few days. And even more over the past few weeks. Finally came to a head today, where the ground is completely saturated and can not hold any more water. 1.5 inches of rain...

    Pool flooded :(

Got 4 inches of rain in an hr last night. Thankfully the outside ground didnt flood in the pool (had that happen before), but the pool overflowed (inground) out. I already had chlorine high (10ish) due to recent other rains and trying to avoid an algae outbreak. All other levels were pretty...

    High pressure, New equipment?

Its a hayward super 2. Theres a picture of it in my profile. Someone on here said it was made in Aug of 1996, which I highly doubt it supports any automation... Im not looking for any automation anyway. I have a manual oldschool hot water timer in the system that works great. Mainly just looking...

    High pressure, New equipment?

Im not worried so much on the filter pressure (its rated to 50). I dont see how a smaller impeller will reduce electricity usage, motor is still gonna spin the same.

    High pressure, New equipment?

Figured Id revisit a conversation I had on here last year. I have a 2 HP hayward pump. Its big, its old and it eats electricity like crazy. Also have a Taglus TA60D sand filter. That convo here: What is this return/control/nozzle? and filter pressure question Paid a company to do a full sand...

    45lbs shock, still consuming FC

I had your problem last year once. It was the Cal-hypo clouding everything. Whats your OCLT? If its zero, stop adding stuff. Let the water sort out with the filter. It took 2-3 days when I had this to fix itself. From your last post, whats your Calcium hardness? Very likely could also be that

    Starting a SLAM today!

Dunno how big your pool is, mine is a 25k gal, I go through 4-5 gal at a time adding for a slam, 2-3 times a day for a few days. You can add as much as you need to to get up to SLAM level. I normally aim for about 20 chlorine level, which 4-5 gal will do. Per the slam guide, youll be doing this...

My daughter has green hair … metal out?

How are you testing? How are they testing? Not saying I trust theirs, but different test methods will give different results.

My daughter has green hair … metal out?

Dunno where OP lives but its very feasible NC: https://epi.dph.ncdhhs.gov/oee/docs/CopperAndPrivateWells.pdf OP: talk to your local health dept. its a good idea to have a well bacteria tested every year, and about every 5 have a full range of testing, which probably includes some metals...

disassembly of tagelus ta60D filter & plumbing for futureproofing

Aye JamesW indicated same. I totally forgot they were threaded and never considered it. I think they are threaded internally too but its a matter of finding a union to work for that. Thanks all!

disassembly of tagelus ta60D filter & plumbing for futureproofing

Joy, thanks. Whats the thought on replacing with some screwed unions to ease this in the future? Unless youve a way to unglue previous cuts and fitted unions?
