    R-0871 Shelf Life?

I have the opportunity to buy R-0871 for a good price considering I'm in Canada as the prices for Taylor products here are insane! I was just wondering if anyone knows the shelf life of this particular regent as I would be buying the 16oz one and was hoping it would last into next summer. I...

How to fix a leak between tigerflex and backflow valve?

Hoping someone can chime in. I have a small leak, maybe 1 drip/min where the tigerflex joins to the backflow valve. Is there any product I can use to stop it while it's wet? I'd prefer not to have to shut everything down and dry the line out (not sure how I'd do that anyway). Thanks!

    No Stabilizer or Chlorine!

So I'm not 💯 sure of the size as the pool as it's a weird kidney shape. (Double humpback kidney?) I added 3L of liquid chlorine @ 10% and tested after 20min. FC shows at 2.5 and CC as 0.5. I'm still at a loss in regards to the CYA tho....

    No Stabilizer or Chlorine!

We've had a lot of rain lately, so that could have had an effect. Any thoughts on the Chlorine feeder? Should I put the dial up?

    No Stabilizer or Chlorine!

Hey everyone! So my friend down the street asked me to test his pool. He's been using a pool company for the last 10years. You can see the test results as no stabilizer or chlorine! (Mike's Pool) The water is clear. He has a feeder system that uses stabilized chlorine pucks and it's full of...

    Keeping a higher FC ok?

Is there any problems with keeping my FC around 10-12ppm with a CYA of 80 instead of the recommended 6ppm with a SWCG? I ask this because I'm afraid of my FC getting to low and the recommended range is 9-11ppm with Non SWCG, so I assume the higher levels would be ok even with the SWCG. Thoughts?

    Hayward H250 heater winterization question

I'm closing my pool for the first time and I've read elsewhere that you should disconnect the pressure switch in the heater. The Hayward manual states for winterization all that needs to be done is remove/disconnect the drain plug, gas and power. So do I need to disconnect the pressure switch or...

LED Light winterization...I need a sanity check here

My lights are at the same height as my returns so when I close they will not be under water (until later in the winter when snow melt brings the level back up).

LED Light winterization...I need a sanity check here

I don't think these lights use a niche but I'm not 100% sure. They are small Hayward LED lights. I was wondering if I can just leave them be (same height as the returns) or if I have to take them out (or attempt to) and put them on the pool deck or sink them......My biggest concern is ice...

LED Light winterization...I need a sanity check here

I know this is an old thread but what did you end up doing with the lights? I have the same ones and I'm a new pool owner- it will be my first time closing.

Can I blow out lines through sand filter?

I was reading on another thread that after you finished backwashing and rinsing the sand filter you should put it on Recirculate before blowing out the return lines. I'd rather do it your way (leave it on Filter) as I have my sand filter in my shed with no drainage. I'm dreading draining the...

Hayward modified pool pump cover for closing

I would like to make a modified pool pump cover for my Hayward super pump to attach my shop vac to blow out the lines. What is the best way to accomplish this? Should I just use a hole saw (ones for doors) and then stick an adapter in there that the vacuum can hook up to? Considering the lid...

    Using backwash during closing?
