Thanks. I'll shoot for FC of 11. Never heard of scumball before. Is it usually sold at the local pool store?

    Pool party

Hi everyone, I'm having a pool party for my son this weekend and the headcount is up to 30 kids. Just wanted to get an idea of adjustments I should make to the water chemistry for the increase in the amount of people in the pool. Most recent test results as follows: CYA - 80 FC - 5 TA - 90...

    Is this yellow/ mustard algae??

It hasn't changed since I bought the house for the past 3 years. I definitely haven't noticed any changes and I usually pick up on those things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Is this yellow/ mustard algae??

I read about copper stains but not sure how copper would have entered the pool. I don't use algaecide nor does my PH go below 7.2. It's usually on the higher side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Is this yellow/ mustard algae??

Yes it brushes away with ease but reappears later. It's diamond brite, white with a little color in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Is this yellow/ mustard algae??

Need the help of the pros to identify this yellow "thing" on the walls and by the steps. At first I thought it was dust as I would brush it and it went away. Now I have realized it must be something else. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Deciding between superflo and intelliflo

An update on my decision. I got misinformation on the energy cost, it's actually $0.11 per kWh so there will still be some savings. The cost of the intelliflo is $200 more than the superflo vs and max-e-pro 2 speed pump. If I were to return the intelliflo it would be about $25 - $30 to ship...

    Deciding between superflo and intelliflo

If I'm looking at the graph correctly wouldn't the low speed for a 1 or 1.5 hp be .5 hp or graph A? My SWG will generate chlorine at a min flow rate of 15 gpm. If I currently run my single speed 1hp for 8 hours a day at let's say a rate of 60 gpm, if I were to drop down to 20gpm per minute...

    Deciding between superflo and intelliflo

Thanks for the heads up. However I am not familiar with how to read the pumping curve. I know I'm limited to 60 gpm with 1.5" plumbing, however I am not sure what it means at the intersection of the total head at high and low speeds and how that affects chlorine generation. I also checked...

    Deciding between superflo and intelliflo

Much appreciated! Thinking of pulling the trigger on the Sta-rite Max-e-pro dual speed 1.5 hp motor. Reviews weren't too good on the superflo pump and this seems to be a newer/better/upgrade version to what I currently have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
