Great, we have 3" pucks (left overs before TF test kit)... We have never set our pump on a timer, we always pump 24/7. Do most run their pumps less? Would it be best to put the pump on a timer while we are gone?

We use liquid chlorine

Will be on vacation for a week. I hate to ask a friend to stop by and check levels,,,what's the best way to keep your pool chemicals in check when you are away?

Thanks zea3,,,I truly appreciate your help. We always run the pump 24/7 from the time we open in spring until we close up the pool in fall..I have heard that some people never run their pumps continously,,,.what are your thoughts on that?

With the FC at 8.5 should I still use pucks while I am away this couple days? Should the solar cover be off or on while we are away?
