Same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago. After I sent them an email explaining my issue, they sent a new bottle of standard. The second bottle tested perfectly. Their response was very quick and hassle free.

Slam is complete. How far does Fc have to drop for ph test to be reliable?

I was not able to keep consistent slam level during the week. So, I extended the slam until today. I am home tomorrow, so tonight I will raise to mustard slam level and be able to hold that for 24 hours. I have seen a daily decrease in the spots and the color is gray instead of yellow/brown...

Started slam Wednesday night, no drop in FC overnight. Thursday was a bright sunny day, that resulted in usual FC drop. This morning’s test showed a drop of 2ppm in FC over night. Hopefully, this is a sign that I finally have this stuff on the run.

Since this stuff will go away for a day or so after vacuuming, how long should I leave at slam levels before I let it drift down?

Brought FC to 6.0 last night at 9:00pm. This morning at 7:00am FC test showed 6.0

Yes, just on the floor. Water is completely clear. About two days after vacuuming, will reappear in the same areas.

They do brush off or can be vacuumed up. But, will appear again. If it’s mustard algae, will it cause a drop in FC overnight.?
