Are you Looking for a cheaper alternative SWG than the OEM?

Yea, I already purchased and installed the refurbished cell. A buddy who uses them gets 3 years out of them so I should be good for a while I hope...The reason I steered away from Hayward is local stores no longer have them and have the new replacement for the T cells. Hayward has a new line...

Are you Looking for a cheaper alternative SWG than the OEM?

After four years my Hayward T-15 stopped working. Saltwaterpoolstore offers a new replacement for the T-15 for $359 delivered with 5 year warranty! 5 years vs the 3 years Hayward offers....Sounds too good to be true and it was....The cell lasted 12 months, I sent it back after filling out...

Not understanding the lure of robotic cleaners..

Perhaps, but it sure did get a lot of attention and seems folks enjoy discussing it , so...And asking why these machines are made in Israel is a legit question as I don't know of anything else that is made there.

Not understanding the lure of robotic cleaners..

Thing is you are running the pump anyway. I know the selling point of robotics is less cost on electric and less ware on the pool's pump. But the pump is going everyday and closing the skimmer valve and opening the vacuum valve once a week to run a suction vacuum isn't putting more load on...

Not understanding the lure of robotic cleaners..

So if you buy from Margaret and the you need to send item back while under warranty, does the customer pay for shipping? And why are these robotics made in Israel as read on her website? Seems USA , China or Japan would be the builder?

Not understanding the lure of robotic cleaners..

I vacuum once a week normally and and twice if company is expected for a day by pool. $700 every three years isn't worth it to me. Can't imagine if I had to replace everything at that rate, appliances, tires for vehicle, etc. I'm betting they are purposely made to last X amount of time...

Not understanding the lure of robotic cleaners..

So if I want to keep cost to a minimum what is the suggested Robo cleaner? 14 x 33, 4 to 7 feet deep. I don't need bells and whistles but would like something that cleans well. Local company Leslies, has the following with several others .. Aqua Products - EVO 614IQ Robotic Pool Cleaner...

Why is the Poolvergnuegen pool cleaner so much? It has good reviews and looks like Haywards pool cleaner.

Not understanding the lure of robotic cleaners..

I could live with a life span of 5 years...But I see where tracks continually fall off, boards fry in the machines.. Worst part of it is even when under warranty users are getting the shaft...I have been hand vacuuming for two years and dont mind until we have company and I have to do before...

Not understanding the lure of robotic cleaners..

For the price point robotics do not seem to be worth it. $700 plus and you are lucky to get a couple trouble free years out of them from everything I have read. Maybe it's the cool factor of having new technology clean your pool, but they just don't seem to be there yet and worth of the cost...

How can robotic cleaners clean better than auto vacuums that are connected to suction line?

It has a door, not certain the name. Skimmer works, water is going in, it just doesn’t seem to pull debris it’s way.

How can robotic cleaners clean better than auto vacuums that are connected to suction line?

Yea I know the Dolphin isn't a skimmer…. My skimmer picks up nada so Im left with everything that goes to the bottom unless I'm home to rake the pool surface,,

How can robotic cleaners clean better than auto vacuums that are connected to suction line?

Yea but the dolphin is only so big, 4x4 or whatever…It can only hold so much. Like to see a comparison…I only ask as I am looking for a cleaner…..Not sure which route though

How can robotic cleaners clean better than auto vacuums that are connected to suction line?

I have very fine cut dead grass that looks similar to saw dust that comes into pool when neighbor's lawn is cut. If wind is blowing my way it covers top of pool. It goes through my screen like it isn't there….I also have plenty of yellow tree pollen right now. My question is that how can a...
