Looking for “deck drain cover” material

Hi all- I’m not sure if the title of this thread is the correct term for what I’m looking form, but it’s my best guess! The pictures do a better job. This plastic material is 2” wide and appears to have originally come in 10’ lengths. It covers a drainage channel in the pool deck. We had a...

    Robot use for spring opening

He’s off and running! So far so good. As I mentioned above, there’s not much debris on the bottom this year. The robot clouds the water a little bit, but mostly when the impeller outlet blasts an area with the flow.

    Robot use for spring opening

That’s another question I should have asked Margret from Marina Pools! I imagine it does based on the literature. Thanks for the response. I’ll give it a go once it gets here. (with this robot, I’m becoming less and less useful to my family!! LOL)

    Robot use for spring opening

Our new Warrior SE will arrive during the upcoming week and I have an initial question for current robot users: do you use your robot to vacuum the pool for the first time right after spring open? Or, do you still hook up the hose & vac head and vacuum the bottom to waste? Currently, our water...

    AutoPilot salt question

I think I know the answer to my question, but I want to check here with the experts first. I have a PoolPilot Digital SC-48 that's giving me an error message to add salt. It's reading only around 800 ppm. I used Aquachek salt test strips and they show the level at around 3500-4000. Based on...

    Back from vacation: pool disaster

Quick update: the pool lost 9 ppm overnight (about 45% of the FC) the foam is gone and the water is getting pretty clear. CC's are down to .5 and the FC is at 8ppm. I am currently dissolving the first 5 pounds of cya to see where that gets me. I'd like to know what caused the cya to drop to...

    Back from vacation: pool disaster

Just got back after 10 days to find what every pool owner hopes to never see: cloudy, green mess. There are several issues going on. First...the pump has developed a leak to where it's losing probably a couple inches (or more) per day--it's hard to say for sure because it's been raining...

    Winterizing Autopilot

Cool...thanks. The way I've closed in the past is to pump the anti freeze through the plumbing until I see a small pink ploom in the water at the returns/drains. That way I'm positive there's no water left in the pipes. It takes around 18 gallons (less than $50). Wasteful? Maybe...but I view...

    Winterizing Autopilot

I'm getting ready to close the pool and this is my first winter with a PoolPilot (Auto Pilot SC-48). I've seen differing opinions on removing the cell or leaving it in the line over the winter. (The area where I live gets pretty cold through the winter--the pool will freeze solid). In the...

    chlorine output

Thanks for the responses guys-- I added 1.75 lbs of cya yesterday. Sean- My unit is brand new this year and has been running a little ove two weeks. I checked the cell anyway and it looks brand new--no build up, scaling or obstructions. I just ran a second salt test (using AquaCheck strips)...

    chlorine output

I've had my Auto pilot (SC-48) running for a little over 2 weeks now and I have a question about the amount of chlorine it's producing. I have it set to run for 12 hours (7p-7a). I'm at 50% on power level 3, yet it only raised the free chlorine level by .5 ppm. Here are my numbers: cc 0 fc...
