Is there a way someone can recommend a feature for Pentair Home? I love how you can set it to turn on your lights at sunset. I would like to suggest being able to delay for a specified amount of minutes after sunset. I have 3 lights (pool, spa, fountain) and I have my Pentair lights in romance...

Thanks for the reply. I was more concerned with negating the Sodium bicarbonate I added yesterday to bring up my TA. I know that you should not add muriatic acid and bicarbonate at the same time as it negates it. But was wondering about boric acid and if I have to wait, how long?

Just added some Sodium Bicarbonate to raise TA from 40 to 60. Added muriatic acid the day before to lower pH a tad. Need to add boric acid to raise it 10 ppm for the pool season. Should I wait to add it or is it ok? This is the pure boric acid and not borax.

Could someome explain to me how 7.8 pH doesn't build scale in simple terms? I'm adhering to it even though imdont completely understand it

Spoken like a true TFP member!!!! When you SLAM algae, initially you will get a mixture of dead and alive algae. I think the dead algae is actually smaller. Not sure the fine filters are fine enough to get the dead algae?

Do people get short life out of these because they leave them in the pool? I only plan to drop mine in the pool every 3 weeks or so for the 2 hour cycle during the season, and maybe every 2 month off season. I don't get a lot of debris. I hope leads toma very long lasting unit.

What is the equivalent to the Prowler 920 from Dolphin? I ask because i want to get filter screens that are finer than the ones imhave and the Pentsir brmaded ones are harder tomfind and more expensive. I also want to know if the finer screens will filter alive and dead algea?

Understood. But if you have any leaves in your pool or skimmer , isn’t it likely that you will get a little pink after 1 drop of the reagent?

I wanted to confirm that when you are conducting the CC Taylor reagent test that the shade of pink you will get is very very faint pink when you add the drop(s). its barely "not clear"? Would anyone be willing to post a picture for reference of what you should be looking at?

I found pictures of the shades for Straw Yellow and the other colors your sample should be. Can someone post a picture of the shade of blue that is ideal for the test?

The link for the inexpensive blue BTB is for .04% and the above summarized instructions say add 1 drop of .5%. This threw me off. I added roughly 12 drops of BTB as that's what the math works out to be. (Actually 12.5). It may be more than needed. Can someone post a picture of the blue...
