I was thinking of buying a leaf cover and just keep the pump running on the regular schedule. Maybe continuous low speed. We have a swg and a power generator so that shouldn’t stop with storms. I’m afraid a winter cover will setup a warm dark environment for algae. Thoughts?

I added the sod bicarbonate. Ta up to 80. pH up to 7.2. Will just sit on it.

My TA is 30 pH is less than 7. Had to add 6 drops of base to get to 7.4 (don’t have my Taylor booklet to figure out how much base to add). Question re TA Can I use sodium bicarbonate? It’s not on pool math. So not sure how much. There are directions on the bottle. I’ll recheck pH after ta...

Good idea re the wrap I was using a 5 in circular saw so may need to get a 7 in to cut it in one cut. (Nothing wrong with more power tools).

For all this pvc I have been using a circular saw. What tool can I use the cut the pvc now that is attached? Can I use a sawzall? I assume yes. Sorry for the amateur question.

@Texas Splash Thanks. I’ll try epoxy. The union is leaking on the return line. Sadly the leaks are happening with the pump OFF (ugh). So I think it maybe worse with pressure So regular pvc cement won’t work?

Just filled the pool after hard plumbing Have a little drip. Can I add cement to the outside?
