Pool math app say to lower PH with acid then aerate. Question on this is, what is the time frame between adding the acid and the aerating. My TA is at 120 and the PH is 7.4. I have a waterfall and only running it about an hour or so to not have algae buildup in the reservoir.

Yes. Working on that this weekend. I did add some liquid conditioner after testing but haven’t retested. Vacuumed this evening to remove dead algae. Add 64 oz of liquid chlorine this evening.

Just tested after 2 hours. Held FC at 16 ppm. Do see a few new chunks of algae that have disconnected from whatever space they were hiding in. Robot is in the pool to vacuum for this round. At next round of visible debris or any other stuff is on bottom I plan on vacuuming to waste.

Let the war begin, FC level brought to 16 ppm. I figured out how to get the lights in attached from their normal places. Pool is scrubbed and will vacuum shortly. I sure hope this works.

I was told this is mustard algae. It’s yellow tinted sand particle that shows up on the steps, safety ledges and pool bottom around the pool. I brush it and it turns into a mild cloudy area. Then the next day it is back. Is this actually mustard algae and if so. How to get rid of it?
