    Granular shock question

Ah, yes, understood, well seeing as how it's still a bleaching agent and I'm assuming would raise calcium levels, I have a vinyl liner so leeching concrete isn't really a concern, would this product be a better investment for opening over liquid?

    Granular shock question

It's opening day and as I was picking up my chlorine, I noticed a granular shock that was 73 % sodium hypochlorite for 15,000 gallons. I've never paid attention to granular before, would that be a wiser investment over liquid 10%? It's certainly cheaper and higher in concentration.

FC water testing sample doesn't clear up

Anywho, using my k-2006 kit, and adding 4 jugs of bleach my sample was pink and as I added my drops of r-0871 (100+drops) I stopped bc the...

Floor drains have algae below the grate

No worries, and thanks, I wasn't sure if taking the covers off the drain created a leak or something worse.

Floor drains have algae below the grate

My floor drains have 3 screws holding the cover on. Can I remove these screws during normal operation and scrub this algae with a tooth brush?

Swamp thang, you've made my wife...ANGRY

Thanks for all the advice. This site is an amazing resource and a lifesaver when it comes to the non existent education from my pool company. I have learned quite a bit since my install last June. Reading these threads, i cannot imagine how much i would have spent relying on pool store water...

Alright folks, Passed my ofclt. Last night the FC was 12 and CC was 0.1. I checked again at 7am, and the FC held at 12 and my CC was 0. Pool is clear and the wife is happy. Should I wait until my levels return to normal before firing up the swg?

Update day 5 ish, still cloudy but we now have visibility to the bottom. I've been cleaning the cartridge filter with a power washer over using a garden hose, but the pressure rises from 10 (original starting pressure) to around 15 in just a few hours. Vacuumed 3 times this week. I haven't been...
