Ah, yes, understood, well seeing as how it's still a bleaching agent and I'm assuming would raise calcium levels, I have a vinyl liner so leeching concrete isn't really a concern, would this product be a better investment for opening over liquid?
It's opening day and as I was picking up my chlorine, I noticed a granular shock that was 73 % sodium hypochlorite for 15,000 gallons. I've never paid attention to granular before, would that be a wiser investment over liquid 10%? It's certainly cheaper and higher in concentration.
Opening after the winter in KY. Water was clear this year! My PH is 7.4 FC was 1.5 CC 0 cya was 50 alk was 50. I am adding cya and added chlorine based on the calc to bring my FC up to 5. Do I need to slam at opening? Or only if I have CC?

Alright folks, Passed my ofclt. Last night the FC was 12 and CC was 0.1. I checked again at 7am, and the FC held at 12 and my CC was 0. Pool is clear and the wife is happy. Should I wait until my levels return to normal before firing up the swg?
Update day 5 ish,still cloudy but we now have visibility to the bottom. I've been cleaning the cartridge filter with a power washer over using a garden hose, but the pressure rises from 10 (original starting pressure) to around 15 in just a few hours. Vacuumed 3 times this week. I haven't been...
