It can still be used as a cheaper way to raise CYA. For my pool using it for about 3 days would raise the they CYA around 10 ppm.

I just noticed these last night when I was buying some 8.25% at Wal-Mart. The bottle said it would make the equivalent of 182 oz of liquid bleach (assuming that's 6%). It was $2.97 vs the $2.98 for the 128 oz of 8.25%. This seems like the way to go if it really does equal 182 of 6%. Less product...

We had a lot of rain last year and I had let the CYA drop last fall. Then we had a wet winter and I had to pump out a lot of water over the winter months.

Using the TF100 kit. At the beginning of the year the CYA was 0 so added 3 lbs of CYA - tested again and it was 20 - added another 3 lbs and the CYA came up to 40 which is where I try to keep it.

Water looks great. Always has since I went BBB. I never have any CC or have to shock. Once I get the pH, Alk and CYA adjusted in spring all I do is add bleach and a little acid from time to time. I add bleach to raise FC level to 8 at night and the next night it's always at 4.

I am looking for a robot and the EcoJet seems like a good deal - if it works. It uses water jets instead of brushes and only climbs up to 60 degree walls but I mainly want the bottom and slanted sides cleaned. Does anyone have one of these with slanted walls and does it climb them adequately?
