    Fresh Fill

Good afternoon, This Friday I am getting a new liner installed. I am excited to open fresh and not have to slam for what feels like forever. My question is do I add the conditioner sock first before adding anything else, or go ahead and add chlorine while I'm waiting for it to dissolve? My...

Is it safe to buy a liner from online?

DIY is appealing, my back and knees aren't the best, is it very physically demanding? I might go hop on you tube and see if it looks doable. However, my husband and i cant even get a tarp on the Dang thing together, so replacing the liner may be out of reach.

Is it safe to buy a liner from online?

Hello, When getting a quote for getting a new liner installed from a pool company, I am getting the " you should never buy a liner from the internet, you never know what you are going to get". Is that just them trying to scare me into buying from them? what should i look for when buying one...

    Test to use less 0871

Well I’m down to 2 test a day now so i guess I’ll stick to 10ml. I have a refill of 0831( or whatever the numbers were), coming this week. I was starting to get nervous since i was testing so much but i think i will make it now. But as always i still learned from you all again with your answers...

    Test to use less 0871

Hi all :D Im in the middle of a slam and i could swear last year i read there was a way to test where each 0871 drop counted as 1 instead of 0.5. Am i imagining that or is there a way to do that? I currently fill to 10 and test with each drop equaling 0.5 Thanks!!

    Getting started

This might sound stupid but the pool calculator says i need 5lbs. Does that mean i put in multiple socks or just refill it until I’ve used 5lbs? I don’t picture 5lbs fitting in one sock. Or could i put half in a sock in front of return and half in a sock in the skimmer and speed up the process?

    Getting started

Hello everyone, this is my 2nd year using this method and I’m getting a late start. We just got the pool topped of and the filter going. Got what we hope is all the leaves and debri out. We did not end up doing a proper closing last year and we are paying for it now. It’s probably at 50% New...

Is it normal to still be green?

I feel like its better than yesterday. When im right at it , just seems cloudy not green. There are dark green/black stains on my liner though. Are those permanent? I can live with them but there aren't very pretty. Scrubbing has no affect on them.

Is it normal to still be green?

Yes Ive been keeping it at 24. Even though upon a later test, my cya was closer to 50. I brush it everytime I add bleach. Although when my husband got in to vacuum we were surprised that it wasnt slimey. Is that a good sign that I had been brushing enough? I backwash 1-2 times a day. Pretty much...

Is it normal to still be green?

Hi! Im sorry I didn't mean to drop off the earth. Its going good.School ended last week and schedules got wonky. so technically this would be week 3 of slamming today. However it is only week 2 since we got all the leaves and debri that were hiding in the middle. So that might actually be the...

Is it normal to still be green?

This morning I tested before leaving and I had only lost 4ppm since last night. That would indicate that Im not killing very much anymore right? Still green. I was pretty confident in my cya reading but decided to go a bit higher on my fc shock goal since i saw there was a +/- 10 i could be off...
