    Removal of plunger valves

Thanks. Definitely the 1.5" ball valves like I have just before the pump and salt water generator as it makes changing the filter easy lickety-split in less than two minutes.

    Removal of plunger valves

My plunger valve on pump suction is now leaking, but only with the pump off. Replaced the O-rings and still leaks. I was going to replace it with the new version but option below appears to have more flow.guaranteed no leaks and everything past the plunger valve is 1.5" PVC leading under the...

    Blew out my SWG!

I can't believe I did this! Two weeks ago I had guests staying over the weekend and uisng the pool. During one afternoon I saw the SWG flashing a red error code, low salt. Unlike the directions state I added 40lbs. salt into the pool without diconnecting the vacuum robot and TURNING OFF THE SWG...

Custom PVC Pipe Adapter for Intex Pools

Hey Raaza, Sir two questions. 1. When you used those 1.5" conduit bushings did you reuse the original Intex flexible hose screw-on couplers to tighten/screw onto the Intex plunger valves? 2. Did you simply push the 1.5" conduit bushings over the plunger valve and seal with the plunger's...

Jacking up on a ultra frame pool

Update! I went underneath trying to jack it up using 2 5-ton jacks. Ended up cracking and bending two of the legs!! lesson learned. DO NOT JACK UP ON A FILLED POOL!! Those legs are not as strong as you think, They can only hold a static load, cannnot support weight while being jacked up apon...

Jacking up on a ultra frame pool

Yeah no way to jack up on the upper lip with these ultra frame rectangular pools. Your idea would take me only one hour versus two days of digging. Digging from under is 300% more time intensive than your idea but I don't have any other choice.

My Intex 16x48 with custom deck and stairs

Russ, Thanks for the link. Even though the original poster's pictures are all X'd outthere is enough posting over all the pages that will suffice. Yeah I completely agree that 3 ball valves would be best. It appears that you have 2 ball valves with the pool plunger valve as your isolation to...

The DG is just fine for the body of the pool, even with 75,000 lbs. of water the DG has yet to budge...but please use pavers or bricks under all stanchions, external feet or anywhere where a lot of pressure is centralized in a small area (typically under the feet (stanchions). On the feet that...

Actually we had two splayed rabbit's show up under there. I think there is a ferrel cat in the neighborhood. Found them beheaded and dressed out much like you do a deer. Have two dogs and they can never catch the rabbits, their fast, not sure how a cat could possibly catch them. I'm ready, I...

My Intex 16x48 with custom deck and stairs

Thanks so much! I used your ideas to build my deck for my Intex 12x24. my pictures posted here post591054.html#p591054 Question; I want to do the exact same thing you did in moving my pump/SWG under my deck, to include the 2 ball valves, the California sun is doing a number on the pump's...

Blacklisted well I made some mistakes (never trust one person's advice, especially online get numerous inputs) as I have to go back and jack up seven posts but the basics was I rented a Backho and dug down 5 inches then leveled that. Those boards are 2x10x14"s and they all have rebar hammered in...

Jacking up on a ultra frame pool

My two car jacks are 3-ton types. They barely had enough power to lift 2 inches. My guess is the pry bar would bend. I can tell you lifting from underneath sucks. I have to use a small hand shovel becuase I need enough dirt/clay to keep the foot from collapsing so that takes 1 hour just to dig...

Jacking up on a ultra frame pool

I have seen many posts on jacking up on sagging corners on other types of Intex pools but not the ultra frame. As most know on a Ultra frame the bottom and side stick or push out far beyond the frame on top so using a jack sitting on the ground with a wood pylon going up to the top rail won't...
