    Waterline tile

Every year I've had to repair loose or fallen tiles for 5 years or so (7 year old fiberglass pool) mainly at the bottom course. This year after shut down I just started removing loose ones and deteriorating grout-cement based- to fix them all. Doing that I noticed loose intermediate tiles...

    Hot tub heater

It was the circuit board. However once I replaced it, I found the brass extension on the boards ignitor module/sensor was loose, didn't reinstall to check but kept the board as a spare just in case. Thanks for the help...

    Hot tub heater

Yes, i do have access to a multimeter and a friend who can use it. In the mean time, the viewing port leaves much to be desired but the flame is pretty and blue but after timing from ignition only 9 seconds of flame. The flame is right at the burner no lift. I can't see if the ignitor is...

    Hot tub heater

Thank you for the assistance. I've cleaned both the plates, electrodes and the grounding electrode. They were in pretty good shape. I can get a ignitor and cable or best to get the control board with the ignitor and cable. Thoughts?

    Hot tub heater

I've got a Hayward H100ID1 heater thats giving me a fit. It fires about 15 seconds and shuts down, tries again and same outcome. All the limits, switches and sensors check fine. Burner is clean, the LP pressure is right for incoming and at manifold. I thought maybe the gas valve but the...

    Pool Math App

Greetings fellow TFP er's...won't be long here in NC! Has there been a change to the droid app for pool math? Have to log on now and most of the time I get a error message. I've even lost my historical info. I'm a premium subscriber. Maybe I need to delete the app and re install. Any...

To close or not to close

Thank you Maddie, Yes I've had the FAS-DPD kit for a few months now, won't be going back to the guess the shade anymore. I'll update my signature. The pool/spa builder said there were issues with hot tubs and chlorine is why he recommend bromine, something about the hot water conditions. Our...

To close or not to close

Greeting TFPoolers, Dont want to close the pool this winter, being new we still enjoy the water features, morning coffee and get togethes weather permitting. Got a freeze stat on the equipment to bring it on when necessary. Will drain the water features as freezing temps get closer. Can I...

    FC level in SWG pool

How much water can removed without potential damage to the UG pool, 8" at a time or more? I'm guessing the important thing is to monitor the PH and FC during the turn over and even help the SWG with bleach as needed? Once the CYA is right then balance the remaining? Advice would be great.

    FC level in SWG pool

I've gotten my TA down to 90 with a PH of 7.4, with your help I've been able to get a good reading on CYA, however 180 is not what I was hoping for. Time to start exchanging water? The sad thing is the pool store said it was on 69 and more stabilizer was needed! Thank you,

    FC level in SWG pool

Jim R you are correct in that assumption! I thought slam and shock were the same, this site is great if you spend some time reading posts and the resources available. Been using my test kit as well, really not as bad as I thought, brought back memories of chemistry sets... Here is my...

    FC level in SWG pool

No sir, crystal clear so far. Walls are slick but thought it was the newness of the fiberglass. I've got a test kit but don't trust my skill set yet, thought the pool store "computer check" would be 100% accurate. I've ordered a FAS/DPT kit since I have trouble distinguishing gradual color...
