Pool Math App - Exporting CSV to App

So usually about this time each year I export my prior year testing data from Pool Math to an Excel file. Worked like a charm, as usual. This year I'm trying to take my 2020 CSV file and send it back to populate my Pool Math App. I have the instructions from last year on how to do it; however...

Misplaced Spa Calculations For Reducing Chlorine Using Hydrogen Peroxide

IC20 reduces chlorine to isolated spa to 2%. Trying to solve when switching circulation from pool & spa to isolating spa, a formula to know how much hydrogen peroxide I need to add to spa. Spa is 243 gallons. Say as an example chlorine is 10ppm when I initially isolate. I’d want to reduce from...

Misplaced Spa Calculations For Reducing Chlorine Using Hydrogen Peroxide

jimbethesda.....jim. Haven't checked CYA in a while....shame on me. Usually try to keep CYA between 70 & 80ppm. Chlorine in pool is/has been definitely below shock level. Came in as of 12/7/19 at 5ppm. I should've mentioned my spa has an overflow(spillover) to the pool which is on on at all...

Misplaced Spa Calculations For Reducing Chlorine Using Hydrogen Peroxide

I seemed to have misplaced my once received from the forum, guidelines on how much Hydrogen Peroxide to use in my spa to reduce chlorine to a tolerable level around 3-5ppm. I did a bit of online research and found a few articles one of which talks about 2 ounces Hydrogen Peroxide for every 100...

Members In Florida - Particularly Central Florida - Horrific Pollen Problem

BobandSherry....CH has historically been high since pool opening 7 years ago. Initially I was concerned, then posted on this site and a member expert responded that as long as I keep my PH around 7.5 or so, the Calcium won't be a problem even at high levels. The only choice I have for lowering...

Yippie...thanks much for the suggestion. I have used "skimmer socks" to reduce filter contamination and they do help, yet the problem itself just doesn't seem to go away.

Members In Florida - Particularly Central Florida - Horrific Pollen Problem

Duraleigh...thanks for the quick response. I suspect pollen only because the same "powdery" substance is on the pavers and some outdoor furniture and around the lanai. I wouldn't expect Mustard Algae to present other than in the pool. Since I brushed and vacuumed yesterday, will await for...

Members In Florida - Particularly Central Florida - Horrific Pollen Problem

My pool has recently been plagued with accumulation of Cypress and Oak Pollen. The stuff sinks to the bottom and collects on the side. I can easily brush and vacuum it away; however, it returns with a vengeance especially when the wind blows with high velocity. My home & pool backs up to a...

Pentair Variable Speed Pump Not Priming After Using Spa

So here's an update from Monday 3/19/18. I finally found the culprit. Apparently my Diverter Valve that switches water flow between the pool and spa was/is/had failed. After removing the actuator, I noticed water pooling on top of the valve. When I powered the pool down, I noticed what...

Pentair Variable Speed Pump Not Priming After Using Spa

Thanks to both Jimrahbe and jodeci77 for your feedback. Appreciate your quick responses. So I added 2 additional inches of water and tried switching to SPA mode and then back. Switching to SPA worked as expected. Switching from SPA to Pool stalled the pump for non-prime. Checked weir and it...

Pentair Variable Speed Pump Not Priming After Using Spa

In the world of unusual, my Pentair VSP, doesn't want to prime after I've used the Spa when trying to switch back to pool mode. All valves/actuators seems to be operating normal. While I can go from pool mode to spa mode without issue, when I switch back, pump tries to prime but no water...

Are SWG's really worth the hype? your experience beforevsafter, recommend type

Sorry...typo. Here's the "quote" from the manual for all Pentair IC models. Temperature Sensor: To protect the IntelliChlor SCG from operation and potential damage when the temperature of the pool water falls below 52° F, ±3° F (11° C, ±1.67°C), the temperature sensor switches the IntelliChlor...

Are SWG's really worth the hype? your experience beforevsafter, recommend type

I installed a Pentair IntelliChlor IC20 6 years ago at pool build. My pool is 11,600 Gals. As Mod Squad said, it does eliminate the manual daily adds. When the system fails, I'll upgrade to an IC40. Lower settings and higher production. The IntelliChlor does require some routine maintenance...
