    Determine correct pipe diameter?

I need to order a new multiport valve and I'm not sure if I have 1.5" or 2" connections to the pool lines. I've learned in the past with household plumbing that it isn't always as easy as it sounds (e.g., inside vs outside diameter, different connection types) and in fact it's often the...

    Mastic lifetime?

Do you think a couple of small (~ 1.5 - 2.5") sections of partial lack of adhesion (can't tell if a complete gap exists yet for water to penetrate) is cause for action? I believe the deterioration of the previous mastic led to the failing of the coping and tile and after a considerable...

    Mastic lifetime?

The home I moved into in 2014 had an inground pool in need of A LOT of TLC. After learning the water chemistry basics thanks to this forum, I then had to take on the failing tile and coping from years of neglect. In June 2019 we had the tile and coping replaced with great results. Fast...

Crack and leak at MPV screw

I get that it's high pressure as far as a pool goes, but is it really at a high enough pressure to blow out? It's at like 10 to 15 psi, correct? (Same pressure as filter gauge reading)

Crack and leak at MPV screw

It's a very slow drip at the moment. Guess I'll just let it limp along and look to replace soon. Might try a product like plast-aid before replacing it in case it works a miracle.

Crack and leak at MPV screw

    Think I found the part # and it's supposed to be plastic. It's 4600-1137 and/or E-15-S1. 1/4" plug with o-ring

Crack and leak at MPV screw

Just noticed this crack at a drain(?) screw or plug on my MPV. Any suggestions for the possibility of fixing or mitigating the cracks? (Edit- found the answer to my question about should it be a metal plug, answer is no, put part # in below reply) Last pic is a friend that was there when I...
