Has anyone else's filters been getting their butts kicked this season?

I do but my pressures are so low with a variable speed pump running low speed that it's kinda hard to tell. A flow meter might be nice though.

I clean them when my salt generator starts no flowing.

Has anyone else's filters been getting their butts kicked this season?

Cincinnati area here and I'm cleaning my filter socks nearly every day thick with stuff. I've cleaned my cartridges twice now. Thought it was just me but a friend is experiencing the same thing. It's been dry and dusty with pollen but I'm wondering if the Canada wild fires are contributing to...

Aquarite SWG needing more flow to generate

I disassembled all of the plumbing to check for any obstructions and then ran it briefly without the filters. Everything worked like normal. I tried the hose nozzle cleaner thing and it wasn't doing anything but removing large loose debris. I said the heck with it and carefully pressure washed...

Aquarite SWG needing more flow to generate

Came home to a green pool and now need 1875rpm to trip the generator. I'm going to try swapping in new filters and checking everything for obstructions. Could be coated with pollen I guess. I tsp soaked them before winter last year. If new filters don't do it I guess I'll swap out the flow switch.

Aquarite SWG needing more flow to generate

The whole pool and systems are only 2 seasons old. Could be that the filters aren't brand new. I'm wondering if the pump impeller might be fouled where I can't reach or something.

Aquarite SWG needing more flow to generate

Everything is exactly the same. No heater bypass, not sure on model. It's the round Hayward one.

Aquarite SWG needing more flow to generate

WC3030 filter, heat pump heater. Every supply individual ran with 1.5in hard pipe and every return 2.5in hard pipe. Seems funny that I have to run so much more speed than last year.

Aquarite SWG needing more flow to generate

I'm running much higher RPM than last year to get the SWG to generate, probably 40%. Pump is a Tristar VS 900, 5psi/1600rpm at minimum flow to trip sensor, 17psi at 2875rpm. If I recall correctly it would generate last year at around 1150rpm. Last cleaned the filters maybe 3 weeks ago. I...

Aquarite SWG needing more flow to generate

I have a Hayward Aquarite SWG with a VS pump and it's taking more and more flow over time to get it to generate vs no flow. The system is about 2 years old, filters are clean, and there doesn't seem to be any obvious restrictions. Could the flow switch already be bad or something else?

Help with waterfall build-hits coping at low speed

No, just when we're out there. Probably 50% of the time.

Help with waterfall build-hits coping at low speed

That's basically what I was thinking. I need to see if there's a way to make my Tristar VS just stay in the last speed set. My concern is setting it to speed 3, forgetting about it and it goes back to speed 1 at midnight.

Help with waterfall build-hits coping at low speed

I could but I don't have a lot of room to make that move with the plumbing.

Help with waterfall build-hits coping at low speed

I'm building a jumping off ledge with a waterfall. When I run the pump fast enough or turn off enough pool returns it clears no problem. If the speed is too low it will trickle down the front and out of the pool. Is that just the way it is or am I missing something?
