new gfci 20amp breaker tripping on new install of pool pump & other equipment

pyrotiger: the other set of wires goes to the SWG, or so I assume. I don't know if the SWG is supposed to be on a separate breaker or not. From the manual for the Intelliflo "The pump should be permanently connected to either a circuit breaker, 2-pole timer or 2-pole relay. Note: If AC power is...

new gfci 20amp breaker tripping on new install of pool pump & other equipment

Thanks for the replies! I checked the jandy panel but I don't see any brand name on the breaker, I took a couple of pictures in case you can decipher if this is a Siemens or Pentair breaker. Going by the label at the top it says "2 pole E-45310 Issue NO AD-287 120/240V 60Hz Class A CU/AL8-14...

new gfci 20amp breaker tripping on new install of pool pump & other equipment

I just had a pool company install brand new equipment for our pool, including a new Pentair Intelliflo 2VST pump, new Pentair SWG, Pentair cartridge filter & new Jandy IAqualink 2.0 upgrade for the VS pump. When installing the new pump, "per code" he installed a new 20amp GFCI breaker for the...

    recommendations for new pool filter

We've been looking at buying a new pool heater & variable speed pump for a while, but haven't gotten around to it yet, and now suddenly our old DE Filter housing started leaking from a pin-prick type crack in the lower part of the housing, as well as another place just below the clamp. Maybe it...

how to open a stuck AquaRite Turbo Cell

I got the 16" Channellock, and with that badboy I was finally able to open that thing up :) But even with that huge thing, I still had to crank it to get it open, so it was pretty stuck... In the manual it says you're supposed to check the plates and clean them etc. I rinced through it with the...

how to open a stuck AquaRite Turbo Cell

thanks, I was looking at those types of pliers too but didn't find any the size I need before, but now when I searched for channellock I was able to find a 18" plier at lowes with a jaw opening of 4.25" for 23 bucks... if it works it's worth it! You can never have too many good tools ;)

how to open a stuck AquaRite Turbo Cell

Well obviously I'm not talking about length, I'm talking about opening width, and a big 18" length pipe typically has a 2.5" opening...

how to open a stuck AquaRite Turbo Cell

Yeah, it looks like someone has used tools to tighten/loosen these, even though it says hand tighten in the manual :( Do you know of any good quality strap wrenches? I searched on sears.com & lowes.com and both the craftsman & kobalt have pretty poor reviews and look similar to the "Power Grip"...

how to open a stuck AquaRite Turbo Cell

I'm trying to open up my AquaRite Turbo Cell, but neither end just won't budge using hand force. I bought a $10 strap wrench on ebay to see if that would work, but the strap wrench just snapped off. Any ideas on how to open one of these things? they're obviously way to big to use like a pipe...

Horizon Signature Reel sturdy enough for 16 mil Solar Cover

Re: Horizon Signature Reel sturdy enough for 16 mil Solar Co Ok, so are people on the forum who have used the thicker solar covers typically saying that you don't gain anything heat or lifetime wise? Maybe I'll compromise & settle for a 12 mil, which should still be sturdy, a little bit...

need new pool heater, which type is best?

Yes we did consider repairing the heater, but first of all when we bought the place last summer the heater doors were open & wires sticking out so I have no idea what has been done to it, all I know is the pool inspector who did a quick visual inspection said he didn't think it was worth trying...
