Hayward Heat Pump 120KBTU Struggling to Heat

10-12 on the discharge air is very good, so your unit is working great. As AJW said, the temp drop at night without a cover is most definitely what's losing your heat. At 77 you're losing as much energy as you're gaining. A gas heater obviously has way more power and could raise this number...

    Here we go

If you think you'll need a heater and a chiller, Raypak (and possibly some other brands) have heat pump units that do heating and cooling. It's energy efficient and takes up less space. However, dry AZ air will reduce its efficiency, so you may want to go a size or two up than normally...

Still, though, if you'd like to drop your 2 cents in the hat of this thread with tips, tricks, allat... then be my guest...

Draining water out of a mesh-covered pool after closing

I'd say setting the sump pump in the seat is a viable option. Also 5-6 hours for a 20k pool doesn't sound right, even with a 1/3HP pump. How long is your garden hose? That long length, narrow tubing may reduce the flow rate of that pump. If it's long it might be a preferable option to buy a...

I Want to Build an Automation System - Tips and Opinions?

Hey all, newly registered TFP user but been lurking for a while now. I went to school for Industrial Automation and Maintenance and I do a fair bit of network & PLC at my work. I've always been drawn to using automation as a solution to many problems and inconveniences, so of course when I...
