What am I doing wrong? Chlorine isn't going up.

Tested this morning. 3/30/25 5:59a - 10.5 FC, 0.5 CC Since there was no chlorine loss, water is clear, and CC is 0.5, that means it's done, right? Thanks.

Hey Everyone, Here are my logs since starting the SLAM yesterday morning. How does it look? Anything else I need to be doing or am I on track? 4/28 8:49a - added 3g Chlorine, 1 g Muriatic Acid, set SWG to 0% 4/28 10:59a - 13.5 FC 4/28 1:11p - 8.0 FC -- Added 2g Chlorine 4/28 4:10p - 13.5 FC...

What am I doing wrong? Chlorine isn't going up.

I mean, I'm not trying to keep it low. It being low is the problem I'm trying to fix. I don't know why it's not staying up like it did last year at this time. I know the CYA needs to come up but I don't think that's the problem just now because the FC is low in the evening and in the morning...

What am I doing wrong? Chlorine isn't going up.

Hey Everyone, The pool was finished about 2 years ago. I keep the pumps going year round, so no closing or opening. Just adding liquid chlorine over the winter. Last year right before it was warm enough to swim, chlorine levels looked good once I got more salt in the water. This year that...

My Filter's Pressure Gauge Doesn't Seem to be Working

Thanks all. I figured it would be bad but want to be sufficiently prepared. Nothing worse than thinking something is small problem, taking things apart, then learning you have a bigged/different problem that you know have to scramble to get parts for / figure out. :)

My Filter's Pressure Gauge Doesn't Seem to be Working

Thanks. Would you agree it's a bad gauge? Would it be possible for the pressure to be so high after a few months of non-use and clear water that it's off the chart?

My Filter's Pressure Gauge Doesn't Seem to be Working

I cleaned the filters in September when we stopped using the pool but we don't close the pool completely. Chlorine and pH levels were checked and adjusted throughout the winter. There hasn't been much debris in the pool at all. Water is still flowing fine from the looks of the pool. Seems like...

Hole in 18-month old Gunite Pool on a Step

It's just the plaster. Didn't go down more than a millimeter.

Hole in 18-month old Gunite Pool on a Step

No, we used it a lot this year, just not in the last month as the kids went back to school, baseball picked up, and it got cooler. I texted him the photo and he said he could have someone add hydrolic cement.

Hole in 18-month old Gunite Pool on a Step

My pool was finished in April 2023. We haven't been in it in over a month, and I just saw a finger-tip-width hole in the top of one of the steps. How could this have happened, so I can prevent it from happening again, and what can I do about it now? Thanks.

    Help with scheduling Pump RPM

Thanks. How do I find out the minimum RPM needed to generate chlorine? Seems like there are 3 variables with the equipment: pump RPM, SWG %, and duration. Is it just trial and error to determine the sweet spot? Last season I ran it at 3000 RPM for 12 hours a day and that was sufficient at 100%...

    Help with scheduling Pump RPM

Hey Everyone, I have 2 pumps (see signature), a main pump that feeds the SWG and another pump that simply runs the bubblers and spillover. I just realized I could adjust the RPMs. I'd like help figuring out what settings to run each pump on. The pool skimmers don't do a great job even with...
