Fine Dust Particles from Nearby Construction (No flocculant?)

Interesting... Yes I suggest adding a bit of DE to the filter, or just vac to waste. My DE filter gets rid of very fine particles very well.

    Need pump recc' asap!

old Challenger High Pressure 345201 pump just broke - backplate blew a piece off, no salvaging it. Is there a go-to pump? basic, vfd or 2-speed, no automation or anything. need it asap. Quality over price. 1.5+hp. 90% of the time I ran the old one at low speed to circulate. Thanks in advance for...

Correct way to abandon in-floor system?

this was my thought as well... get rid of as much of it as possible. Dallas area, pool stays 'open' year round, no need to blow it out, but want to abandon it cleanly.

Old owner - starting over drain/refill due to high salt

amazon or ebay for bulk calcium chloride pssst - some 'snow melt' is almost pure calcium chloride and much less $$ why did you totally drain? now you will have to add salt, CYA etc to get back to normal.

Correct way to abandon in-floor system?

Yes in floor system been shut off for years, using wall returns only. one powers the pressure-side cleaner, the others spin the pool water with the smile-shaped eyeballs. works great, really good circulation even with the pump on low.

Correct way to abandon in-floor system?

had the pool re-plastered - in-floor system was fully functional but never used it, didn't do anything to keep the pool clean. I had the contractor abandon the jets in the pool. Now, how to I 'properly' abandon the water distribution system @ the pump? I assume just cut it all off and cap it.

    Refresh a 33k gunite pool

Should be finalizing the contract in the next couple days. leaning towards the 'CrystalStones' product. Installer says the difference between Pebbletech & Crystal stones is the manufacturer - they see the same quality etc and have same warranty. Looking at one of the blues on the left. Light...

    Refresh a 33k gunite pool

So I had a sit-down with the company and I'm not touching the light. I was thinking to do the light as a preventative measure only - we really don't use it. He basically said 'if it ain't broke don't touch it' so that's what we'll do! So on the tile, they provided 2 different options - replace...
