    Jandy Truclear Continuously Chlorinating Issues

The entire control panel of the SWCG should be powered off completely when the pump is not running? IE when the pump timer tells the pump to come on then it turns power on to the SWCG control panel? Cause yes right now the SWCG control panel always has power to it, the only thing that turns the...

    Jandy Truclear Continuously Chlorinating Issues

While I wait for Zodiac to open I am wondering what could be the problem with why the Truclear system is continuously producing chlorine (or at least the control unit is saying it is) even when pump is off? I know my check valves in the spa jets are faulty and the water will back flow into the...

    Help Identify Part(s) Spa Jet

So no one can identify this part, I have contacted inyopools, local and on line spa parts suppliers as well as pool builders/remodeling companies. I guess I have the red headed step child of spa jets..... on to making a custom tool and removing this and seeing what exactly is behind there.

    Help Identify Part(s) Spa Jet

Its tough to see but where the arrow is pointing to is a part that isnt attached to the fitting seat, it is actually separate and requires its own tool to remove.

    Help Identify Part(s) Spa Jet

    Help Identify Part(s) Spa Jet

Local pool people as well as Hayward have been zero help in identifying the parts (believe they are check valves) Also anyone have a clue what tool to use to get the cover off? Anyone know if parts are still available or what newer style design is compatible?

    Renovations on Pump/Filter Plumbing

Thanks for all the input. The equipment is pretty new so all that stays, the routing is what is terrible and there is a lot more pressure losses (Mech Eng here) than there needs to be, plus some of the pipes are sized incorrectly (part of the certain runs of pipe is 2" and then a small section...

    Renovations on Pump/Filter Plumbing

Thank guys :) I figured as much, even the display setups in local pool places dont show the pool return line with that kind of funky routing.

    Renovations on Pump/Filter Plumbing

Recently I had to repair a broken line on the pool return and have always wondered about why the routing was done like it was, see below circled in red. Can anyone think of a functional reason why this line was run like this? Right now my assessment is that the main portion of the line was...

Does a gallon of 12.5% Chlorine a day (23K gallon) seem to much?

remember your FC level has to be higher when you raise your CYA level to get the same effectiveness

    Pool Fill Discoloration Cycle

What is your reasoning for vac to waste? Seems like, as you stated, it is counter productive. The filter will/should catch all those particles and not cause you to have to refill so much. If you were to vacuum normally do you need to back wash after or are you still good? Im not an expert in...
