So no one can identify this part, I have contacted inyopools, local and on line spa parts suppliers as well as pool builders/remodeling companies. I guess I have the red headed step child of spa jets..... on to making a custom tool and removing this and seeing what exactly is behind there.

Its tough to see but where the arrow is pointing to is a part that isnt attached to the fitting seat, it is actually separate and requires its own tool to remove.

Its just a regular eyeball fitting that goes in there, this pool is about 25 years old and never been updated

Local pool people as well as Hayward have been zero help in identifying the parts (believe they are check valves) Also anyone have a clue what tool to use to get the cover off? Anyone know if parts are still available or what newer style design is compatible?

Thanks for all the input. The equipment is pretty new so all that stays, the routing is what is terrible and there is a lot more pressure losses (Mech Eng here) than there needs to be, plus some of the pipes are sized incorrectly (part of the certain runs of pipe is 2" and then a small section...
