Lost all chlorine overnight?

To end the SLAM, you need to pass three criteria....

1. Your pool water is sparkling and there is no visible algae (dead or alive)
2. Your CC's are .5ppm or less
3. You can hold your FC overnight without losing more than 1ppm.

Look at other pools on the forum and you will see you are failing #1....crystal clear water. Run that pump 24/7 and keep SLAMming until you get this...
clear water.JPG That's in 7 feet of water. Not bragging, just showing you that it's easy to do with filtration and adequate chlorine.

Ok, ok, you guys were right  What a difference a day makes!

Thanks Wendy!

Marian, I hadn't lost any FC over night the last couple days I was slamming. I check today and it has been around 2 days since I added bleach and I did have some loss an almost immeasurable amount of CC where for the last couple days my CC was 0. It has been raining the last day though. How will the rain affect my OCLT?

Maybe you don't need to do an OCLT then. I was just thinking the water could sparkle more and was trying to hint that you should keep after it a little longer... The pic you sent is a little fuzzy. How do you think the clarity is? Unless it's a torrential rain, it won't make much difference if you do decide to test.

Thanks Kim! I told myself if this TFP method worked and successfully cleared my green pool I would become a supporting member, so with you saying I am done with SLAM, I just signed up to be a Silver member!
