What's your current pool temp?

Well it's getting to be that time of the year when we start saying good bye until next year to many of our pool forum friends who live up in the frost belt. Things will begin to get much quieter around here in the next few months.

I was just wondering what the temps were everywhere and at what temp the average person stops swimming . . . It is 92 today and 82 in my pool. It is okay if it is sunny when you are swimming - but once the shade hits it "feels" much cooler.

We get a few regulars from Australia. They are starting to come out of hibernation. Ive seen a couple posts by our Aussie freinds the last week or 2. Every now and then someone from Brazil and Argentina and the occasion South African. They will be coming around. You can pretty much count on it.

What about the southern hemisphere? Don't we get folks from there?

82 is our summer average water temperature at my house in Pennsylvania, ha ha.

Last year it was so cold here in the middle of winter I couldn't bear to visit the forum. I was afraid I would cry.

Was 84 this morning. Decided to put the solar cover on last night (it was 86 then, heat pump). Air was 58 last night, so solar cover really helps! Going to just roll out back half way to swim and use cover rest of season.

Farewell to all of you northerners. Hope you enjoy your winter. My pool is still at 84. I may have to break out the solar cover soon, but there should be a couple more months of pool season before our "winter" arrives. No leaves to rake or snow to shovel, just some cooler temperatures for a couple months. I don't miss those long cold northern winters one bit.
