This may be a dumb question, but please excuse my ignorance. How did you accomplish the pool umbrella mount? Is your pool vinyl or concrete, it looks vinyl, but I can't tell for sure. I like the idea, but not sure how to do it with a lined pool. Thanks. Your area looks wonderful, btw. I am going to save some of the pics of your covered room for some ideas for mine later.

My pool bottom is Ocean Blue Pebble Sheen with 3 extra bags of abalone shells mixed in. To the left and right of the umbrella are bubblers that are also tied to the deck jets and pump number two. The umbrella is just a PVC umbrella holder that was plumbed into the plaster/pebble when they poured the pool. I also have one on the pool floor near the horseshoe that a table will fit in and out of :). The two umbrellas on the deck also have the same umbrella holders.

Let me know and I can take some closer pix for you!

Thanks for the info. Nice job planning all that out, I like the extra touches. I don't think that is something I could retrofit into my pool, at least not until I put a new liner in, and with any luck that 9 years or so away! I don't even know if you can do it with a liner, but I'd imagine that with some ingenuity it could be done.

Lol no. I was going to make one outta a PVC pipe and plastic tabletop that had been modified with a mosaic tile top. Never got around to it....just put the beer glasses on the deck around the horseshoe. The hole is there in the bottom of the pool if I ever decide to get un lazy Hahahaha.

How is the love/hate relationship with those trees? Are you constantly cleaning?

Love the shade the trees provide and the spot for a few hammocks :). They are hanging low and I do need to get them trimmed higher and cleaned up on the inside of the canopy. Leaves fall from it and a few get into the pool. Oak pollen gets in the pool (everywhere if you live in central Texas you know this lol). The old brown oak pollin sacks fall into the pool sometimes. Then there are acorns that get in........but the worst tree offender was the Bradford pear tree we took down to build the outdoor livng space. Glad that tree is gone!!

So ya love the trees, and don't mind the little bit more work I have to do on the pool because of them.
