Another Pool Build in Cypress, TX

Just sat a moment to check in. Thank you, my fabulous cheerleaders!

I don't think I moved last night. Nick was willing to move the car at 6:45 "just in case". I didn't even hear him come down the stairs. He knocked on the door and told me the acid truck had just pulled up!!! (sadly it wasn't colorful!)

Here we go!! It's a crew of 2. They said it would take about 2 hours. So Nick and I dashed to WM and the donut place for the crew. Today isn't as interesting, techniques wise. So I have to return a water hose - not quite long enough.

I'll snap a few pictures, feed the cats (before they naw my ankles), and run to Lowe's. By then, they'll probably be finished!

Later,
Suz.

Thanks, guys! I decided to wait on exchanging the water hoses. For one, I'm tired. Second, I think it'sbest iI hang around in case they need something (Nick is back to sleep). Third, I want to be able to thank them when they leave. And fourth, we're set with one hose for them to get us started. It won't take long for us to run and get the right length hose. Then we'll have two running.

I have no idea how they are doing, but all looks good to me. It's a lot of power washing. And they power wash the coping , waterline tile, etc. And one guy really went after the glass tile on the spa spillway. That made me nervous... I didn't want to see any tiles pop off. But the tiles passed the test and look fabulous. We may have to put shades up in the living room! Ha ha!

Motors are off. I think I'll go check on things....

Ok, so the polishing (I forgot to mention that earlier) and power washing was just prep for the acid wash.

They just finished the acid wash, and now they are power washing again. They even did the acid on the glass tile, so those should really dazzle! It's funny how I kept trying to wipe and clean the tile. If I had known they do this, it would have saved me some energy. But it was good bonding time with my starship, right?

Oh, oh, oh.... Guess what I just saw? Sparklies in the finish! That has to be the shimmering sea shells!! I forgot to look for those yesterday, but they were probably still hidden by the plaster.

I'm grinning from ear to ear but not jumping up and down.... Either I'm too pooped to pop, or I'm stunned that it's really happening.

Suz.

You're going to be too tired to swim after all this excitement. Save some excitement for swimming.

I feel like the last of the Mohicans because everyone's pool is getting plastered and mine has been taking FOREVER. Even the other Austin build signed a month after me and he will be swimming this weekend blech!

I am so excited for you! I can't wait until you can post that you're floating around sipping your Texas Tea in beautiful sparkly water!!! You've been so patient and kind in supporting others. We are all rooting for you!!
