Going back to some earlier topics in this thread:
Besides leaves and algae, you had floc clumps from the initial Green to Clean. Alum will produce the same.
For all of those floc agents, one
must carefully vacuum it out to waste. Any leaf raking, netting, roboting, or brushing will break up the clumps of floc, and resuspend them in the pool water, making it cloudy. Some kinds of floc will then not reclump nor resettle, and the water stays cloudy. Some will, but only partially.
Meanwhile, depending on kind, that that gets to the filter has a high risk of permanently plugging the sand in the filter. Even if it doesn't clog the filter, it can take a LONG time to get the suspended material out of the water.
It appears you have dodged most of the bad side effects, now. Backwash that filter. Better would be to do a deep clean.

I now return you back to the current topic, to continue on with the recommendations by others....
