Cleaned my Hayward C4030 filter and manufacturer specs say torque the band bolt to 150 inch/lb which is 12.5ft/lbs. My problem is I don’t have a torque wrench.

With that small of a specification, can I get away with just a regular wrench to tighten? Is it worth the investment in a torque wrench?

Here at TFP we always stress that manufacturers have guidance for a specific reason and they should be followed at all times. OK. I think the stuffy people stopped reading. HeHe. If I had to guess, 98% of people with your filter do not own a torque wrench. Only 1% had one in the first place and another 1% used that as their excuse to finally buy one.
