Hi all,

I just did some pool renovations and upgraded my easytouch to an intellicenter. Seems to be much more functionality within the Intellicenter compared to the easytouch.

I have added the expansion card to the intellicenter to include additional valve control ports. I currently have 4 intellivalve actuators, (1) for bubbler supply, (1) for deck jets, and (2) for waterfall operation. The waterfall and the 2-intellivalves were added as part of the recent renovation. I have figured out how to automate the bubbler and deck jet intellivalves within the intellicenter.

My question is this, how do I program the two new intellivalve actuators to fire (one to open, one to close) at the same time when I select the Waterfall feature.

What other cool features does the intellicenter have that I was missing out on with the easytouch?

Thanks!

Welcome to TFP.

Assign both actuators to your water feature circuit.

Hi Allen, Looks like my valve expansion card may be bad. The intellivalves get no power when connected to the card, but do get power when connected to the integrated valve ports on the intellicenter. As soon as I get the card swapped out, I will come back with the requested screenshot.

Make sure that the expansion card is fully seated on the connector to the main card.

The replacement expansion card seems to have done the trick. All the additional actuators are now showing up on the software.
As requested, here is how I have it setup. I want to fire the "returns" valve to close and the "waterfall feed" to open when I select the "Waterfall" feature.

Let us know how that setup works for you.

works like a champ! Thanks for double checking me!

Do we know if the feature to modulate valves at different positions is a feature that they finally released on the intellicenter? I poked around a bit, but didn't find anything that stood out. I'd love to be able to set the valve position different depending on what feature I'm using. ex: Valves set in one position for running just the waterfall and set to a different position if running waterfall and deck jets.

Each valve actuator has two positions it can move to. It has been that way for a long time.

More positions were promised for the IntelliValve but never implemented.

Bummer, shame on Pentair for not delivering on that promise. I think it has been a solid 3+ years since they said it would be "coming soon"

Any other cool features I should check out in the intellicenter? Coming from the EasyTouch panel and screenlogic, it feels like a spaceship!

I do not find much cool in the IntelliCenter other than the touch panel display. It is disappointing the potential versus the implementation. It lacks any sensors for positive feedback loops to tell you when you suggest to it to turn on the pump that the pump actually runs, or to turn on the heater that heat is being generated.

If you implemented spaceship controls that way you would not get far before disappointment or disaster.

To me the IntelliCenter is an appliance, like a toaster. It does the basics well but occasionally burns the toast.
