NOT POOL IN SIGNATURE

Hi all,
Have a 3200k pool with Easytouch and IC40 which was fine for the last 2 weeks. Pool went cloudy and screenlogic says check cell. Cell did have some calcification cleaned and upon turning on the green cell light starts for a very short time steady but then reverts to blinking. Amped out the power at the surge board and no production but for a short 5 minutes the first power up it showed amperage. Threw in a new IC60 and now it shows low salt no production. Pool opening 2 weeks back it had 2200ppm and I added 6 bags which should bring it upto 3100. Yes, I need to do the k1766 test but just asking if this makes sense. Salt level in the app shows 2750 . What's next.

* just checked it via the kit and it shows 3000ppm. I think I'll toss 2 bags more @ 150ppm/bag.

Yup, I read your post and thought - add some salt and see if the new cell gets happy.

WF,

The old IC40 is dead... Pretty typical failure mode.. Flashing cell light when clean..

If the actual salt level is 3000 and the new cell reads 2750, you should be thankful it is that close.. Its tolerance is +/- 600..

Add salt and you should be good to go..

Thanks,

Jim R.

Just checked the cell, still has low salt after the 2 bags a good time back but what bothers me is the app still shows 2750 like something is still awry. Any insight is well appreciated. Can't think of what's next. TIA
Salinity is only remeasured every 12 hours unless you power cycle the cell to force it to reboot and measure the salinity.

I would give the salt more time to dissolve and the cell time to catch up.

I checked the hours with the lights and it came up as 60% meaning 6000 hours
That's when mine died. But I soaked it in straight acid for 3.25 hours over its lifespan as I was directed to do, before I learned better.
