A couple days ago, we had a storm blow through that blew the cover off the tub, and left some small branches and leaves in the bottom of the tub.
I turned the power off, and fished out what I could with a net until there was only some small pieces of leaves etc. I turned the tub on and it seems to be working fine.

I have a Lazyboy Relieve Hot Tub, built by Hyrdropool. There are two cylindrical filters off the skimmer. that I can remove to clean.
But where does debris captured by the floor drain, or side wall suction ports get captured/cleaned.

Thanks ajw22.
At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I don't any other flow through the skimmer filter except from the skimmer.
What piping carries the floor drain water through the skimmer filter.

Where else would the floor drain and side wall suction go? All suction needs to go back to the same pump which would send it through the filter.

Dos your hot tub have separate pumps for the floor drain and side wall?

The floor suctions are unfiltered unless you have a pressure filter (you don't). Straight through the pump and back out of the jets. Generally speaking, if it fits through the grate it will come out of the jets. There are exceptions, of course, usually leaf stems or pine needles and such, but I wouldn't worry too much.

Thanks RDspayguy, that makes sense. I was asking to determine how anal I needed to be about getting all the little bits of debris on the bottom.
Your response would mean that the little bits of debris in the bottom of the tub only get filtered if they are blasted up 2 feet into the skimmer.

I have since looked at my tub closely. I'm wondering if my tub doesn't meet the 'Generally speaking' aspect of your response.

Removing the filters from the skimmer, I can see there is a rectangular in the bottom, unfiltered the well. On the underside of the well, one of the filters has a hose connection that I assume goes to the suctions.
I recall that when I bought the tub, it had a a 'Self Cleaning' feature. I had no idea what exactly that meant, or how self cleaning was achieved. I now believe that the 'self cleaning' feature draws water from the suctions into the unfiltered side of the filter well, and the water then passes through the skimmer filter.

Is this correct?
