Decided to bite the bullet and convert over to salt before the summer officially hits. I saw that Circupool was coming out with this model allowing WiFi control and it checked a lot of boxes for me. I like the idea of this being installed with the Jandy adapter where the Nature2 Fusion currently is and not requiring me to cut PVC. The app will also allow you to adjust the output in 1% increments. I plan on wiring this into the Aux1 relay on the pump and using pump speeds to further control when it’s running.

Question, are there any issues jumping from L1 and L2 over to Line1 and Line2 on the Aux1 relay?
Pump pic shows my rough attempt at drawing it out. Red to red, black to black. Line1 from Core Control to Load1, Line 2 to Load 2 and ground to the screw in the bottom right of the photo.

Taylor salt test kit arrives tomorrow and I’ll be slowing adding salt to the pool. Mix of AquaSalt and Leslie’s since I’ve read bad things about both Morton’s and Clorox here.

That will work.

It looks like you wrapped the solid wires around L1 and L2. Wrapping two wires around a screw is not a good practice. You should stick one wire straight on the left side of the screw and the other on the right side.

I'm not sure why anyone needs wifi connectivity for the cell. I mean you need to check the FC and need to do that at the pool so that's when you'd make the adjustment to the cell. There are times when the sun angle is stronger and the setting needs intervention and the reverse is the same but that's probably 4 times a season so again not sure what the gain is here.

Fair, but I think longer term there are plans for PH monitoring/control and more down the road. Do I need that? Probably not, but it’s something to mess with. That’s a nice to have for me, with the ease of install higher up on the list.

In case anyone stumbles across this thread, the app lets you set output anywhere between 0-100. Just got it up and running today.

How are you liking this unit? Can you do an initial review? I just ordered one today after talking to Circupool on the phone for 30 minutes. It was either an RJ-60 or a Core Control 55 for me. The RJ has a 15k hr cell vs 10k hr on the CC, but the CC has add-on module kits coming out this summer that will do ph/ORP and dose/inject acid for you. Third kit will be a relay board for full on automation control. It was kind of a no brainer for me.

I’m happy with it. I have it hooked up to the aux1 relay on my pump and run it for about 8 hours a day at 30%. Overall the install is pretty straight forward. I did have to get them to apply a fix on the backend, as the app thought I had the unit with ORP and PH. It’s basically this one - Resilience G -

Raises hand. I do my testing in the kitchen, where I have water to clean things, consistent lighting, and can keep the reagents in a more controlled environment. And my pool is pretty far from the house, so once I determine I need to bump the SWCG up or down, it's really nice to do so from my phone. I plugged my generic SWCG into a $15 WiFi plug, which works well enough (I leave the SWCG's dial at 100% and adjust the WiFi plug's on/off time to get the chlorinating I want, making sure it's within the pump run time).

I'd recommend running your cell at some % other than 100. Running cells at 100% is not good for the catalytic coating on the plates. Along with cleaning your cell with acid, running a cell for prolonged periods at 100% shortens the life of the cell. 90% would be fine.

Won’t this system tell you current chlorine readings ?
They haven’t released that part of the system yet. It tells you if your salt level is in range. Over the summer they’ll release an upgrade to add an ORP and PH probe. It looks like it’s just a new cell housing that you swap out. And also a port to add muriatic acid with a peristaltic pump if that’s something you want to do.

For anyone interested in this unit coming out, you need to understand ORP and its limitations regarding CYA...

Read the article and three threads I posted just above here in post #15...

Short story is that it only works with low levels of CYA 20-30...and even then, not well.

I bought mine for the future ph probe, muriatic pump, and relays. The chlorine function I intend to check manually instead of relying on ORP.
Totally understand the reasoning and if I was not pushing the limits of the RJ60+ I would like the option of those features too.

Being as the forum has told me the SWG piece is close to set and forget and there is a PH option that is stand along I can always explore that later if need be.
