2 port Valve body identification

Before I cut this valve out.

I realized I had an issue on this valve only after I had a leak in my main drain line (appears fix is under decking away from the shell) and my pump would not prime. The lack of priming was due to one valve in the main drain line not sealing. It appears the pool tech swapped a different valve body in and the main drain which I normally keep open can’t be sealed while I work on the main drain leak.

There are 3 valves all 2 port 2” pipe, what I’ve found is one of the three valve bodies is different …. All three have model 4716 jandy diverters. The two valves have a upc sticker on the bottom 4716 and the suspect one has no marking or stickers.

In the bottom there is a hole for the diverter shaft to fit into and the diverter rotates in it to close off the flow.

One of the bodies has a bigger hole (by 1/4”) and so that makes it wobble or I’d say the 4716 diverter is wrong for this valve body… one picture show a top down with the handy on the left with screws and the body outside difference is at mid pipe level it lacks a ridge or seam that sticks out maybe 3/16”or so like on the jandy.

Before I cut it out I’m wondering if anyone on here could possible identify this jandy look alike valve body and where I could find the correct diverter… the 4716 shaft at the bottom of the diverter is 14mm diameter and the other shaft diameter I’m seeking is 20mm

#1 pict is looking down and shows thicker mid section
#2 pict shows jandy 14mm hole
#3 pict shows “mystery body 20mm hole
#4 pict shows the divertor shaft that goes into the hole

Thanks for any help.

The Skimmer valve in the center is 1.5" x 2". 4724: 1½"–2" 2-Port NeverLube Valve

The valve to the right is 2" x 2.5". 4716 2-Port NeverLube Valve. 2" x 2.5".

You can see the pipe size on the 90s going into the valves.

The body is probably Pentair.

It is usually cheaper to buy the whole valve and remove the necessary parts.

Plus, you will have the body if you need it.

270056 Diverter assy. 2 & 3-Way Valve, (2–2-1/2 in.) 1

The body looks almost identical.

Pentair 2-Port Diverter Valve, CPVC, Positive Seal, 2″-2-1/2″.

All shafts have an O-ring at the top.

I do not think any have one at the bottom.

It looks like a Pentair body for a 263027 valve. 2-Way CPVC 2 in. (2-1/2 in. slip outside).

I agree that by instinct it’s likely a pentair body. Regardless of inlet size of Jandy valves (1-1/2 to 2, or 2 to 2-1/2) they all spec the same diverter replacement part number of 4720. The fact that one shaft is larger would indicate a different manufacturer of the body. Pentair would be a likely choice, I see handles interchanged on valve bodies far too often….probably because that’s what the tech had on the truck when a repair was needed.

The Pentair Valve Body should have markings like below and the ridge looks like a Pentair valve style.

The markings are probably a date code.

It might also have the Ca Prop 65 Warning Sticker.
