Thank you. That sounds like a nice evolution to where you are today. Glad you have your Christmas decorations as a priority!@bmoreswim You have a beautiful piece of property there and you have done it proud. It would be ideal for my wife and I as we are doing the same on a smaller scale with no elevations, unfortunately. We started with just a pool and wall to wall lawn that I insisted on front and back that was the backdrop for our wedding reception in 2002. We added some hibiscus and llantana with a couple hibiscus getting replanted in different locations over the years. We started with 5 Ficus trees of which only one survived (we used to get hard freezes back in the '00s) and is now a 22 year specimen tree in the front yard. I have to trim it back each fall so that my suspended Santa and reindeer can still be seen up over the front yard. Our backyard now has two Orchid trees (one Hong Kong and one Purple that bloom multiple times per year slong with a firecracker Myrtle. A few years ago we tired of looking at our sprinkler-stained block wall so we built out planters where the grass met the wall (coincided with my running a replacement 240v line around the edge to my pump) and moved the sprinklers in 3' from the wall. We painted the walls and filled the planters and some new tree wells with lots of flowers and flowering shrubs, trying to get as much color as possible. We still have the best yard of all our family for the grandkids to play and run around in and we are quite proud of it.
Thanks. Yeah, that’s been the real highlight of the pool - more time spent with family.Congratulations bmoreswim!!! Enjoy not just your pool and landscape but the time you spend with people around you.
Is that fence at least 4' high or does MD not have the same requirement as we have here in NJ ? (I didn't see another fence surrounding the entire yard).Beautiful yard, nice work. After looking at the aerial and ground views something did catch my attention.
